Cote Chiswick This used to be a great restaurant but the standard has gone down so badly you have to wait long time for you order to be taken + food can take over 45 minutes just to be received. I took my friends to this branch and the service was so bad it wasn't busy and this was during the week we had to wait 45 minutes for our food and asked the waiter twice how long will our food takes all they kept saying l will find out in end we give up. when we got our food the chips were over cooked (burned) and warm We mentioned this We were told don't worry we waited for a long time for this to be changed and this wasn't done + being over charged for things we didn't ordered.I would think twice before going here.for extra items we didn't order. Very poor service l would. I don't know if places are cutting down on staffing due due to not making their money
Côte Peterborough -A warm welcome from Flo and the manager who made sure we were comfortable. The meal was very good indeed, pork belly, steak frites, orange wine superb, atmosphere just right, on a fairly busy evening. The service was tip top and really made the evening, they were both super attentive without being in your face. Flo made suggestions, ie warmed calvados and a selection of desserts when I couldn't decide. In all a relaxing evening of absolutely delicious food and drinks, plus the best service possible.
Cote Sloane Square Having experienced only one out of 3 positive experiences tower bridge you know who you are I was pessimistic when booking sloane Square for a special meal for my wife's 60th birthday - but alas it turned out to be what we have come to expect.Special booking was not acknowledged, restaraunt was like a noisey cattle market with kids running amock and screaming.No engagement from staff or help on the menu.Staff stood for long periods with their backs to us.Frosty reception from staff.Just an awful experience.The only time I got any experience was when I took the service charge off the bill.COTE YOU CAN DO SO MUCH BETTER
Children eat for free? Great - so an otherwise calm, quiet and adult experience at Cote, destroyed by noisy families because cote have sold their souls. Not everyone wants to eat in a ‘child friendly’ restaurant. It’s Cote - please stop this nonsense.
Cote Review One of the issues you find, when there is a service charge or automatic gratuities, is, it can disincentivise staff to perform at a high standard.So Cote, if you're going to take a 10% service charge, the service better be good.The comment i wish to make regarding the service is: they did their job. I would give a tip as it is the tradition in the restaurant industry, but not because they deserved it.Hardly any eye contact, pressing buttons on a tablet, is what we got.There is upselling and there is strategic sneaky inclusions. It was the latter i experienced this time.My friend asked for tap water but was given a bottle of expensive still water. We politely asked them to take it back and bring the tap water.Maybe others would have just paid for the water to avoid the ‘awkwardness’It seems that many people have those nights, where they just want to enjoy themselves and not think of the cost or even look at the bill.And the service industry seeks to capitalise on this.Sorry Cote, I'm not one of those people.Looking at the bill afterwards, I noticed 2 large glasses of wine. I don't remember ordering or being asked if I wanted a large a size.Whilst the food was excellent and the chef obviously takes pride in his/her work. I was reminded of the real world we live in. And that to the management and waiting staff, I'm just another £transaction.
We have been regular and very satisfied visitors to Cote for more than a decade. After a very disappointing experience at the Kingston restaurant the last time we visited we decided to give them another chance. Things went well to start. Good table and attentive staff. However, our main meal took a long time to appear which we put down to a lunchtime rush. The food was acceptable but no better. We waited a long time waiting for our plates to be cleared with no sign of service despite many staff and a manager regularly passing our table. Eventually I asked a manager if we could order dessert. He said ‘of course’ but nothing happened. I asked the same manager again and appeared to be ignored. I found the restaurant manager, explained our dissatisfaction and asked for the bill. To her credit she took responsibility, apologised and said they would learn from our experience. She also waived the bill for our incomplete meal. It’s a pity she had to do so and that her colleague manager was not more ‘on the ball’. No cheery greetings on the way out! Twice bitten and all that …. we won’t be back.
Excellent meal at Cote Covent Garden pre theatre on Wednesday. We were pleased that we had booked as even at 5.30pm it was very busy.I thought service was excellent. The staff were knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. Very good choice of food from a variety of menus. Food was served promptly and prices were very reasonable. Would not hesitate to recommend.
We visited Cote York on Monday 2nd June and had a brilliant time we have frequented a few different branches and this was outstanding I had the new starter on the menu of mussels which was delicious, my wife enjoyed the sea bass and chipsWe were served by a gentleman with the name of Richmond. Everyone that served us was outstanding. Thank you for making our wedding anniversary weekend in York such an enjoyable time
We have just had dinner at Cote restaurant, Sloane Square. The food was amazing and value first class. Deep, our waiter was so lovely , attentive and friendly. Food arrived quickly and all was delicious. Value for money amazing.Go to Cote, Sloane Square, you wont be disappointed on taste and value
