Terrible company.I booked a car from their Heathrow hire car centre.When I arrived they said I was 15 minutes after the 59 minutes they allow as a grace period from the start of the booking - even though I had paid for the 17 days of car hire in full in advance.although they had my full details of e-mail address and phone number no one called before doing this to see where I was. Surely if you are an airport car hire company you expect and understand that CUSTOMERS are sometimes delayed. When I arrived the attitude of the staff was appalling - they just kept repeating - Terms and conditions.I book hire cars regularly on arrival at Heathrow - I would never use this company again - and would urge anyone to think twice.
I was actually ripped off by this company, (which frequently changes its name by the way), previously. Take note. If you book through CarJet with full protection, they will still lie and harass you to take out their own insurance. When I constantly refused to do this they asked for £1500 credit card deposit saying CarJet were disreputable and would never refund anything. They lied and said my credit card was not valid even though the bank confirmed it was. They then cancelled the booking and said ," Good luck with getting a refund from CarJet" End result £350 out of pocket
I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I am extremely disappointed and furious with this company.I reserved a car on the 11th of September and paid the full amount upfront. Shortly afterwards, I received a call from the branch saying there were no cars available and that I would receive a refund within 2–3 working days.It has now been two weeks, and despite chasing up the refund on three separate occasions, I still haven’t received my money back. This is completely unacceptable.It is unfair to block customers’ money for so long simply because the website is not updated properly regarding car availability. The lack of communication and delay in refunding is extremely unprofessional, and I will not be using this company again.
Drivalia only allow 1 hour grace past your booking time! We arrived at LHR location 75 mins after our booking time, as the scheduled (every half hour) Hotel Hoppa shuttle did not come. We had to pay signficant upgrade cost to obtain vehicle. Moreover, Drivalia refused to accept the 'full protection' insurance obtained through Booking.com. (They traded upgrade cost for us paying for their full insurance)
Car was clean but scratched all over I made an expensive rookie mistake and didn’t take a full video and photos of the car because when I returned it was charged £150 for a scratch on the wheel and on top of that an £80 admin charge. I would fully advise everyone to take a video of car inside and out!
