I joined EDF approx 3 months ago because of significantly cheaper tarrifs than Octopus who I had been with 5 years and had no complaints BUT....
I have been so surprised by the quality and level of service at EDF. Its been an outstanding experience. The website is so easy to use and my energy usage is clear and concise. I recently contacted them by phone to change my payments and I was so shocked because the call was answered immediately and the person I spoke to, Jen, was so friendly and so efficent and my request was acted on straight away. EDF gets 100/100 for excellent services! I was so nervous to change suppliers but I wish I had done it sooner.
Chris was really good helping me change tarriff - and he needed to refer me to another team - in fact he then discovered he could do it himself so sent me an email to confirm. Overall, excellent customer service!
There was an issue with my EDF account and Nikki sorted it so quickly! It was honestly so refreshing speaking with her, she immediately understood the problem, fixed it straight away, and even apologised for the inconvenience. Hands down the quickest customer service call I’ve had. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience
I spoke today with a really lovely and very helpful girl her name is Julie Mclure, she was patient and very understanding and so helpful, she helped sort out my direct debits for me, she took time to make sure I understood everything and being of the older generation this was very much appreciated,, she is a credit to your company,, thank you Julie x Mrs Christine Barclay
Spoke to Tina today, she was extremely helpful and i decided not to close my account due to her help.
Previously I have been hung up on and spoken to by customer service agents that quit frankly dont seem to know what day of the week it is.
Make sure you dont lose Tina. There are only a small handful of your agents that seem to understand their job and know what customers need. maybe ask Tina to deliver some training to the other less able team members
My interaction with EDF today was a turning point after a long running saga of poor communication and understanding by EDF. The issue was hopefully sorted out today, however the careless, if not sloppy actions on previous occasions should have been avoided if some EDF employees had been more attentive.
Stephen was friendly and informative . He explained everything clearly and I was able to choose the best tartif for my needs . Everything was sent promptly by Email and I have now set my account up online with ease
I spoke with Naiah regarding a bill on my property that I wasn’t confident was correct, as it related to a standing charge while the property was vacant. As a landlord, these situations can be a bit frustrating, but she took the time to explain everything to me clearly from start to finish.
What really stood out wasn’t just her knowledge, but her energy and tone. She was very calm, reassuring, and patient in the way she spoke, which instantly made me feel more comfortable even though I initially wasn’t happy about the bill. She broke everything down so I could fully understand it and put my mind at ease.
Customer service like this makes a real difference. Five stars from me — thank you for your help and for bringing such positive, calming energy to the call.
I have recently joined a fixed payment plan for dual fuel with EDF energy and last month’s plan increased by almost £30 per month and today the other fuel by £18 per month, I had to call to decline as apparently it was optional but the email didn’t state optional just “this is your new price plan” so I am back to my original planned pricing plan- this isn’t very good customer service
Ruby was very professional and was easy to understand during our conversation today. She was able to provide the information that I needed as I’ll soon be moving property and she also sent me details of my new property (which I’m happy to say, will be supplied by EDF!)
There are lots of stressful things surrounding house moving and having a friendly, yet professional person to talk to is invaluable. I highly recommend Ruby and EDF.
