I had an extremely unsatisfactory experience with a service that charged me £75 for a job that took only one minute. This feels like an exploitation of customers. My garage door became stuck due to weather conditions, and after several unsuccessful attempts to open it, I contacted an emergency locksmith service for assistance. A technician arrived, assessed the situation, and forcefully pressed the door handle, which resulted in the door opening. The entire process took merely two minutes, yet I was billed £75, leaving me quite disappointed with the company's practices. I have an video evidence of the time the guys spent.
The reviews do not lie about this company. I had an emergency on Friday and was told one price over the phone and when the locksmith turned up was quoted over £200 and also had the audacity to say there was a call-out charge applied to this amount. Their website clearly states there’s no call-out charge. To make things even more worse, timing is diabolical as it took over 1:40min from call to arrival to arrive at my property. Trying to resolve the matter with the company is even more difficult.Do not use, it’s as simple as that!
Called these people after I was locked out of my house. Was told someone would be with me in 35-40 mins. After 1.5hr I called again to ask what the delay was, to be told they would contact the locksmith in my local area and get them to call me. After 20 mins I hadn’t received a call. I called another locksmith (local) who told me he would be 5 mins and was true to his word. I called Emergancylocksmith24 again to tell them I didn’t require their service any longer as I had arranged for another locksmith to come out. They were rude and insisted the locksmith tried to call me several times (only tried once whilst I was on the phone with the local locksmith) and then when I confirmed I did t require their service, they put the phone down on me. Complete waste of time. Don’t bother contacting them for help!
Do not use! They turn up and request a call out fee (despite the website claiming they don't), they want extortionate money to open a door. Then when you want to pay their card machine is miraculously broken and they want a bank transfer to a completely unrelated business account. Claimed that a receipt/invoice will be emailed through but despite constant chasing will not provide. Very sketchy. Do not use!!!
Rip offf!!!!Is there a way to report these s'um bags???On the phone I asked him his charges before confirming the booking, he said lock can be changed or picked in £50.That 8 months pregnant prick came in quickly saw the lock and said this cant be picked and asked for a fee even though he hardly stayed a minute.Please avoid this rip off company!!!
Like many others, I wish I had checked these reviews before calling. Website states no call out fee, was told call out fee would be £49 and as he was here we had to pay it. Then tried to tell us he had to drill and replace the lock, even though, the only issue was a key left in the lock on the other side. Tried to charge us £300. We told him it wasn’t going to happen, so then he jimmied the door and got it open. £189 for 2 minutes work, I am absolutely furious! Will never use again and do not recommend.
I was in an emergency, the locksmith turned up within 30mins which is great, but i was charged £120 for helping me break into the sidegate after locking myself out the house. No new lock needes, no technical skill, 10mins for £120! Shop around first!
My experience is reflected in previous reviews which I wish I had looked at.Do not use this service. The website states no call out fee but on arrival the locksmith said £200 for start before doing anything. £600 later for a 20 minute job.There was pressure to get back into the house due to a visit to see a relative going through chimo. Complained to the company, no response, messaged the guy who came, again no response. Never again. Next Trading St.
