Terrible experience. As a university student living in a rented house with code locks on the doors, I faced a frustrating situation. While trying to lock the door to avoid entering the code, I accidentally deadbolted it from the inside. My landlord informed me that no one could assist that night and suggested I contact an emergency locksmith. I reached out to this service, expecting a response within 30 minutes, but they were late and charged me £156. In my panic, I didn’t check the costs beforehand, as all my belongings were inside. The technician merely removed the lock, which took about 20 minutes. Despite their claims of no call-out fee, I was charged £45 for that, plus £85 for the service and an additional £26 for VAT. It feels like a scam, and it’s disappointing how they exploit those in urgent need.
I wish I could rate this service lower than one star. A technician charged me 316 pounds to open a patio door with a drill, and he ended up damaging the door in the process. It felt like a scam, and the person was very rude. There was no identification to show their credentials. This incident occurred in Norwich, and the service was absolutely terrible. I ultimately had to contact another reputable company to install a new lock. I strongly advise avoiding this service to prevent a similar disaster. They clearly lack experience and are not trustworthy.
I wish I could rate them lower, but that isn't an option. A technician charged me £316 to drill open a patio door, damaging it in the process. It felt like a scam, and the person was very rude. No identification was shown. This occurred in Norwich and the service was terrible. I had to call a legitimate company afterward to install a new lock. Avoid this disaster; they clearly lack experience and are a serious scam.
The website does not clearly state that there are emergency callout fees. Initially, I was quoted £89 plus VAT to unlock my door, then an additional £120 for a temporary fix until the part arrived. The part would cost £289 plus VAT on top of that. They also wanted an emergency fee that was not mentioned during my initial call. After an hour, I asked them to leave. I do not recommend using this service.
This is absolutely disgraceful! My mother-in-law locked herself out with her keys inside. The technician arrived, used a magnet to retrieve the keys through the letterbox in just 3 minutes, and charged her £250. This is exploitation of vulnerable individuals. When I called to complain, they said she signed the invoice and that made it fair. Older people often don't know what the charges should be. The locksmith also falsely claimed he had discussed the charges with me. This company is appalling, and when I expressed my concerns about their practices, the manager accused me of being racist.
Deceptive! I used this service last night and confirmed prices with a representative on the phone. The website stated a £39 fee, which seemed too low based on my previous experiences. The representative quoted me £50, but when the technician arrived, he insisted on a £50 callout fee, despite the website claiming no callout charges. He then quoted another £130 to get me inside. Eventually, I agreed, but he also suggested replacing the lock for an extra £73 after breaking it to get in. What started as a £50 job ended up costing me over £200. This is unacceptable, and I will be contacting trading standards.
If I could give them a zero, I would. This company operates from a rundown house in London and has multiple businesses that are sketchy at best. They quote £40-50 over the phone, but when they arrive, they pressure you into paying inflated prices between £180-600 before you can object. They have been reported to trading standards for their unethical practices. Stay away from this company.
