Review Time
This company is forcing me to pay hundreds of euros more than lawful because of errors in their way of reading the meters of electric energy. I have tried to contact them multiple times, no success so far. People with whom I can speak do not even understand well the issue - unacceptable client service. My partner tried too (in case I was not able to communicate well with them), it also did not work. Apparently the error will make me incur additional hundreds of euros for this new year too, totaling a potential value of some 700 euros of wrong charges if it is not resolved. It is a lot of money and I am not sure how to resolve it. (Location: Utrecht, The Netherlands)
Nancy clearly has the patience to listen and resolve reported issues and so speaking with her was an absolute pleasure. Thank you Nancy.It must be said also, and this has nothing to do with Nancy, to get through to talk to an Eneco customer service agent took me 3 days of trying at 20+ mins waiting time each. The fact that Eneco does not offer other contact options than a constantly busy telephone line only is highly frustrating, as is the chat bot on Enecos' website.
I don't know if this is because they hired new people who don't know things, or they are in general lost in time and space, but communication between their depatments and things that their employees say and do is all over the place. One CSA says one thing, we agree, make contract, we agree about the price and terms, then we receive monthly instalment for 10x higher price than agreed. Then we call to ask why this price- only to find out that our contract is CANCELLED- from their side- without anyone notifying us, by email or call. To find out why it was cancelled took 2 days on the phone and "umh, I don't know why, can we call you back?". Apparently, the person who cancelled it doesn't agree with the first person that made the contract with us (person1: "yes, we can move your existing contract to your new location.You can have electricity on both places until you complately move, then just please call to cancel the old location." Person2: we cancelled your contract bacause you can't have same contract on 2 locations). And the loss of our time while waiting for hours before each call has been answered (if it is answered and not just cut), trying to solve what should have been just "a simple contract with existing customer on a new location" .... Dear Eneco, you need to do something about your organisation, I didn't want to go but you left no choice.
AVOID IT AT ALL COSTS! I have been a customer of Eneco for about 2 months. For sure the price of energy is getting higher but one thing is for sure the cost per interaction with their customers is very very very low as they are SO HARD TO REACH!I am considering cancelling my subscription!
