Eneco seems to be charging me insanely high for basic heating - what bothers me the most is that I was also charged for days that I was not even at home! And their customer 'care' is even worse than their general service. I tried getting in touch with customer care over call to express my concerns & get some clarity - but I kept getting pushed from one department to another, for silly reasons, like this is not my department I will put you in touch with another colleague, the next person also says the same thing & the third person says she doesnt know English so will pass on to a 4th colleague. They really have no regard for a customer's time & I ended up wasting 1.5 hours only repeating my address & date of birth & being pushed to another department. AND still NO clarity over why I am incurring so high charges! Extremely disappointed!
Service is zero! Unkind people on the phone who doesn’t want to help and no answers for weeks trough email. Also when I moved to another place they charged me 1,200 euro to pay as a final facture while I been paying every month and was living on my own, almost never at home and never cooking. I told them that there must be a misunderstanding, it could never be from me, but they told me I still have to pay it. I’m sure they put the whole house on my name! NEVER SIGN THE CONTRACT WITH ENECO!!! They are big liers and thieves.
In 2021 (and years before) I paid around €89 euro. In 2022 Eneco proposed: €235. Vattenfall offered me €112. Still an increase, which I understand because of the rising gas prices. But not 3 times higher... So after 10 years (!!) I moved somewhere else. At least Eneco stopped calling me with new (fake) offers. Poor students job. So long and goodbye.
I left Welkom (and the Netherlands) before the Eneco contract started but they have struggled to close my account, been rude to the point of cutting me off on their online chat, refused to address my specific concerns around data protection and exercising my GDPR rights and then, after re-assuring me my account had been closed and not to worry, sent me a bill for a service I can never use! The company doesn't appear to care and that is reflected by those people in customer service that have to deal with the mess. All I want is to not pay for a service I haven't consumed, to have my account closed, my data deleted and to be treated with a tiny amount of dignity in the process. AVOID IF YOU CAN!!!
Awful company, who force Welkom Energie customers who have already lost hundreds of euros in advances to pay extortionate above market rates and lock them into a contract they have never signed or agreed to. "Customer service" are sarcastic and rude. Stay well clear of these crooks.
Former customers of 'Welkom Energie' such as I know what a company like Eneco can do: make huge profit from people that are sometimes struggling with their budgets. Asking the highest prices for power and gas is just not something you do from people that choose a company for their low prices. I call this: stealing.Eneco will be able to show good financial figures by the end of the year. The question is: at what cost? Think again CEO of Eneco of your contribution to this world.
Last March I went to another company to be rid of this rip-off company. Because of a bankruptcy I'm back again for 30 days (law thingy).. and they charge me 2.5 times the previous prices and 30% above market price. They really like to scam and rip people off and put people into debts knowningly. Stay far away from this company!
My own delivery service went bankrupt - eneco was appointed to take overTried to push gas prices through my throat 25% above current prices,33% higher electricity prices.I have to pay the days i've been with them till now, but this company are downright f-king thieves.
