Booked a LWB van, several days before I needed it, and I even emailed customer service to ensure that the vehicle was suitable for the load I was planning to move and got a fairly quick response stating that it was. So far, so good.Arrived to collect and I was the second person in the queue. Unfortunately, for both of us, they did not have the correct sized van. This is obviously not acceptable. I was fortunate and was able to amend my schedule to accommodate this issue but if I was in need of this vehicle to fulfil work and didn't have the luxury of re-scheduling, then this would have been an absolute killer. I have a another job coming up where I will need a LWB and I will not even consider using this company again.
I have the transcript of them completely bypassing their own policies just to get the sale. Utterly disgraceful and they should be investigated thoroughly. Agents are so so dishonest if I was any of you I would avoid for life! Avoid these people
I booked a car with a clear confirmation that I would only pay CAD751 (around￡400 )at pickup. At the counter in Gatwick airport , the female staff told me that of the £1,519.10 shown in the agreement , £1,310.10 was the deposit and would be refunded later. Trusting this explanation, I signed.Later I discovered that this amount was not a deposit at all, but expensive additional insurance which I never agreed to and never needed, since I had already purchased full coverage in my booking. The staff never mentioned extra insurance at the counter, only called it a “deposit.”As a result, I was charged more than £1100 extra on top of my rental, far beyond the original total cost of ￡520. When I complained, customer service simply said my signature meant agreement, ignoring the fact that their employee misled me.This is dishonest practice and has happened to other customers at the same branch (see Google map reviews). Be very careful if you rent from this company.
Truly shocking. They called me at 4pm the day before I was due to pick up my hire car to tell me they have overbooked and therefore I need to find a car from somewhere else. Luckily they also mentioned that the good news was that I would not be charged for the booking......cheeky company.Very, very disappointed with their service.
Absolute jokes waiting for 3 days for hire car on motability mind to be told no cars available but yet on the recording it’s all we have thousands of vehicles to suit every need customer service from Cardiff branch is disappointing told 2 days in a row we will have you a car and still sat waiting for a manager to call it’s disgusting appointments missed and no care given at all
When I returned the car the guy went straight to the right side front and got on his hand and knees to point out a small scrape on the underside of the front bumper that could not be seen from a normal inspection. I am sure he knew about the scrape previously. When we arrived home I found they had taken £102.00 from my credit card. They are rip off merchants. I have hired cars all over the world and never had this sort of scam before.
Arrived at the desk at Malagar Airport Stood waiting to be served and after 10 mins another customer told us we needed to log on a terminal first4 Europcar people on the desk only 2 serving, no pace or urgency to serve customers30 min wait for service only 2 other customers presentLots of paperwork, found most of this was about entering our details on their loyality programme which we did not request When paper work completed they could not find the car keys Had to completed all the paperwork work again for a different car They say the model you book is the one you drive This did not happen The Audi A2 substituted was too small too for 4 adilts with luggage we had booked a Skoda Karoq estate Had another 10 minute wait for a staff person to bring the car keys it was a 10 minute walk to the car in a dimly lit garage No Europstaff presentPaper work stated the car had no damage but on inspection a number of scrapes and dents were present Final bill was 200 Euro's higher than the pre-paid price extra charges added because it was an airport pick-up and supporting the enviroment None of this was made clear at the time of booking so miss-leading pricing!I cannot think of any circumstance where I would use this company again be warned!!!
What a disgusting company with zero customer service, in a way this is good as there customer service staff attitude must be losing millions of pounds for europcars. As a business losing money due to very bad customer service. These kind of organisations I will never recommend. To be honest I will avoid at all costs.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY PLEASE. They are thieves. Do not use chip and pin as they will help themselves to your money. They have taken over £200 from me, no warning, no call or email. A simple misunderstanding which was their fault. They won't refund me. Appalling customer service. AVOID PLEASE
