Europcar have charged us 3 times instead of once for our booking. We paid on credit card and didn't realise until we got the bill which we are now obliged to pay to avoid interest charges so that is 100's of £. We reported this to Europcar 11 days ago and they are still "investigating" even though we sent them all the paper work highlighting their error straight away. VERY poor service all round.
They’ve left me with a tyre that can blow-out at any moment!!!Car was dropped off from their Leeds branch to York. On pickup the car had a lot of damage but that doesn’t matter as all noted - photos taken including the horrific alloy conditions. After having driven 250 miles, the next morning I check the vehicle over before setting off on a business trip and notice a huge chunk of rubber missing from the tyre. I check and the damage was there from drop off - you can literally see the tyre cords. I could have had a major tyre blowout on a motorway. I have now called Europcar 6 - 6!! Times in the space of 2 hours and STILL no resolution. If nothing gets resolved I am leaving the car at the hotel and will be claiming the taxi and railway costs from Europcar. I need to get back home and will not drive a car that has major sidewall damage. This will be going straight to the ombudsman due to the utterly unsafe condition they have supplied this car in.
Stay clear of this mob...They are a total joke they don't tell you the add ons a car a booked for 130 has ended up costing 350..250 before ypu get out with your car you need to take there insurance or 2500 on your credit card if anything goes wrong and was running late tank was at 3/4 full so it changed me 87.00 to top up unbelievable .Plus the motors have had more hits than beatles
Hi, it has been 3 weeks from 9th July, when the prepaid car was not given to me. I am still awaiting the refund for that amount. It is not only bad you did not give me the car, instead of compensating me for the inconvenience and higher costs imposed on me, I have to write to you 7 times by now to ask for a refund. What kind of customer service is this? I had a prepaid confirmed booking for pick up yesterday from London Stansted on 9th July and drop off to Gatwick airport on 28th July. I had prepaid 585.47 GBP in advance for this booking.I was not given the car by Europcar and neither given a refund.They said the booking was done with a 3rd party and i need to talk to them. I have spent 4 hours yesterday and today and tried to speak to them and no resolution has been made till now. This is how you treat your customers?I have made many bookings with you till now but I will not make any more if you do not refund this entire amount and compensate me for the inconvenience caused. I had to take an Uber to come to the city at a cost of 70 GBP and have spent many hours trying to find alternatives at the last minute that are far too expensive.How will you compensate me for this?1 more week has passed and I continue to try to reach to them to get a resolution but they really dont care at all. Never rent from Europcar. They are not interested in customers, only our money.
I booked a car online with everything confirmed and paid in advance. At the counter, I clearly declined extra services and only requested prepaid fuel.Despite that, I was later charged for an additional insurance I never agreed to, followed by another unexpected charge after returning the car — with no explanation or invoice. On top of this, my deposit was never refunded!!!I contacted customer service multiple times via email. To this day, no one has responded.Extremely poor experience, lack of transparency, and zero customer support. I cannot recommend this company.
Very rude and unprofessional staff in booking process. 9th of July they 9 am they come collect car from may door 12 hours after I received text message from them said apologies for any inconvenience but we couldn't collect your rental vehicle today!!And 24 hours after with out any notice they sent me invoice for damages front wheel alloy .When they drop car for me before inspection take signature. Terrible experience bo recommended them
I wouldn't even give a 1 star. What an absolute shambles of a company. Why anyone would choose to deal with them is beyond me. A bunch of monkeys would do a better job. No wonder they have low star ratings. I don't even have any more words to really describe them. Absolutely ridiculous and shambolic!!!!
I’ve only put 1 star because there was no option for No starsWe recently received a parking fine from Manchester airport in a hired vehicle from Europcsr. The fine was £60 rising to £100 if not paid within 14 days from the date of the charge. Europcar forwarded us the fine a month later together with a £33 admin fee which they are refusing to waive - despite the fact it’s their fault our fine increased by £40
I have only given them 1 star because I cannot give nil. The most useless bunch of incompetents in the world. Do not use them! Was given a hire car by them whilst mine was in for repair. Told to call them to arrange collection when finished with to arrange collection. Can only call central number who could not organise collection every time they tried to put me through to the local depot I was sent back in a circle to the incompetents on the central line. Eventually after an hour calling these buffoons I gave up and called my insurance company direct. Do not use these if you value your sanity. A central number is no good if they can’t do anything and transfer you to someone who can! Br told they will put it in your notes repeatedly is no use- I just want it downhired and collected!
