FMG are meant to be responsible for collecting and taking my Mum's car to the garage after an accident a month ago. So far it's not got to the garage, no one Mum has spoken to on their phone numbers knows where it is and they barely shown any interest in finding out either. If we'd had a choice, we definitely wouldn't trust them, and don't recommend them
Waiting over six months for a minor repair to be fixed. 3 month booking period and now they cannot say how long the repair will take and have refused a replacement vehicle despite written confirmaton this would be provided. no car over christmas! no idea when i will get it back. i am writing this having been on hold on the phone for nearly half an hour - they never pick up! never ending nightmare
My car was picked up and a courtesy car delivered on the right day but I had been told it would be 10.00 when it was actually 3.30. Repairs carried out quickly and efficiently and delivered back to me earlier than the date initially made.Communication could have been a bit better but overall a very good service from start to finish.
No one likes to be involved in an accident but if the worse happens and FMG is resolving you can be confident of a professional service. Bringing different companies together to coordinate repairs and provide a loan car is not straightforward forward and bound to lead to some glitches. However, my overall experience was of a company trying very hard to provide a high standard of service and excellent at keeping the customer informed.
The communication from FMG was very poor. After the initial call, I received one SMS giving me a completion date (which was wrong) and nothing else!!All my communication was directly with the body shop (who were excellent) and the insurance company
It is genuinely difficult to put into words how poor my experience with FMG has been. We had a minor accident in August 2023 and FMG Mitcham still have our vehicle almost 5 months later due to “unavailable parts.” They have put very little effort into sourcing the part, or coming up with alternative options for to get our car back to us. I had to call around land rover garages across the UK to find dates the factory were releasing the part – FMG still put in the request too late. I also asked them to source it from overseas – they ordered the wrong part. No one from the FMG garage or headquarters ever calls back, I have spent hours and hours on hold chasing up answers, they will never put me through to a manager and expect me to act a mediator between themselves and our insurance holder Tesco, rather than just sorting it out between the two companies. We have now been driving a Vauxhall Corsa courtesy car for almost 5 months, our children’s car seats do not fit in it and we are unable to travel to see family at Christmas as they apparently have “no other hire vehicles available.” There is zero customer care or accountability. We have no date for when we will receive our car back still – it’s a complete mess and I would avoid at all costs.
Not very happy at all I'm told conflicting story's from fmg like my car is booked into the garage on the 12th December but really it's the 18th so I waited in all day for nothing the garage has been very good and made contact with fmg on my behalf to try and arrange the hire car that hasn't been arranged 🙄 I also contacted Asda's own solicitors as asda were the ones that hit my car the solicitor was very good and also contacted fmg to get them to sort this mess out asda too have been very good leaving fmg as the weak link in all of this I've made numerous calls to fmg and they promise to call back but never do the car is booked in but I'm disabled and need a hire car booked and they just seem to be unable to make these arrangements basicly my own take on this is there are too many people involved making the situation be that I have to pick up the pieces if fmg were not involved in this process it would become very easy to get this straightened out I have found fmg to be ignorant and uncaring wasting my time on the phone with them and achieving nothing each time I have asked for a manger to call me back from fmg and still had no contact if no contact by tomorrow afternoon I've been instructed to call the solicitor back and the garage so they can get in touch with fmg on my behalf to try to get this sorted out if I had any choice I'd avoid fmg like the plague they couldn't organise a pi$$ up in a brewery the only thing they have achieved is to make this situation far more stressful than it ever needed to be.
