My wife & I visited Moorhen public house in Harlow for a meal yesterday, on sitting down I had to ask Reece the waiter to turn off the air conditioning as it was pumping out Cold air, this he did, he then went off duty & the replacement waiter took over, I asked the waiter to put on the heating but all he said was it is cold in here, he did Nothing to put heating on I had ordered a upgrade steak to 8 ounces but got a 4 ounce steak, my wifes Scampi was full of oil & on trying to eat our meal in the Cold dining room proved impossible I took our meal away to eat at home.This pub is owned by Green King & if they can't address this issue then I shall Not return!!
In the process of running my local pub into the ground beer is now 50p more expensive than the 4 pubs surrounding soon to increase again i here.. its already lost over half the locals when they reopened, shame they dont listen to the locals, instead trying to turn it into a pub it never has been and never will do, live rock bands (never had them b4 and thrived) the food menu is now woeful (again never was before and it thrived) 6 or 7 of us used drink there everynight before the revamp....shame seeing it die off really after 20 years of drrinking in there Rest in Peace The Britannia 😒
The staff as always friendly polite and easy to talk to Yvonne served us today very polite and chatty and lovely. Ashliegh is lovely very polite and helpful. All staff work very hard even when busy nothing is to much trouble. Todays meal were to carveries and 1 fish and chips carvery was nice all fresh veg the beef was very tender and plenty of it the fish and chips was very fresh and hot a lovely meal today finished off with a coffee.
We go regularly to The Greene Man in Chingford. Food is good , service even better, never have to wait long for your order. Servers check that your happy , not to often so as to annoy but enough to feel you’ve not been deserted. If you do have an issue always dealt with quickly and with a smile that makes a difference
Worst places in the world! They decided to change the rules and not allow kids at the bar area. We have been coming to Quays local bar for years and our kid never caused any troubles. They now hiding behind legislation that doesn’t exist. Kids are allowed at the bar area, but not at the bar. If you cannot read the law, that’s your issue. Families was kicked out as kids wasn’t allowed to be on New Year’s Eve, is that even normal? I’m not even mentioning how rude and slow staff is in that pub. Green king, you are the worst of all
the churchill wooton basset went for a meal with frends, this we do eavry christmas time but last years regular now gastro pub was dissapointing.so we googled dog freindly pubs in the swindon area (dog freindly is a must) we found the churchill so decided we would book there.just what we wanted plain well cooked simple food pub that welcomes dogs .we all enjoyed our meals, and mya our golden retriver gave it the paws up,we will be back.
Staff fantastic whichever greene king you go to however greene king sorry, useless their menus very sparce wherever you go for a big company they need a shake up will not be going to any again. This is a complaint about greene king NOT THE STAFF ......
