Am at the Strawberry also can I add they rang me at home At 2pm to confirm my booking why they didn’t say then about the food delivery issue I wouldn’t have bothered coming out which will be the future for me to a pub I’ve been coming to for 30 years the place has gone down the hill with Staff and fun factor ✔️

On Dec 26 2023 I booked a table at The Cottage Loaf Thurstaston Wirral for a family celebration. We have been to this restaurant many times for our celebrations and did not expect the experience to be so awful..Unfortunately for us we hadn't read recent reviews. We arrived at 17.45. We were shown to our table. We ordered our drinks..The gin and tonic came with no ice. Apparently the ice machine was broken..On reading other reviews, post this visit, it had been broken since the 23rd!! We were not told this before the drink arrived....Would anyone like a gin and tonic with no ice!!!!????Next a slimline Coke arrived..very pale. We were asked to taste test the liquid...It was returned immediately. Not a good start for a family celebration. We then ordered our meal at 18.00. We had to ask the waitress for our meal at 18.45..The meal arrived at 19.00!!!!7 meals..All poor. 3 fish and chips..almost burnt chips and poorly presented. 2 mac and salad..been under the grill too long we think.1 pie and chips..The peas too hard and shot across the room when forked!! The gravy had to be spooned out of the container.. Pie crust very hard. 1Asian curry..Once again another apology for a replacement rice..and a very miniscule amount. The curry was garnished with red chillie peppers!!..All in all very disappointing and embarrassing for a family treat. Had I been there on my own I would have complained to the manager. This did not stop the next table complaining but I was so glad to leave with my family. I will not be visiting the Cottage Loaf again and not advising anyone else to go there..A very disappointed and embarrassed customer.
I booked a table for Christmas day dinner. At The Nags Head Mickleover Derby.O my word how good was my experience. We were greater by a lady called Sally, she was so lovely. Went to the bar as wanterd to look at what real ales were on, the choice is usually fantastic and we weren't disappointed. The staff were extremely well dressed , very smart, very helpful, polite,.The 4 course meal was absolutely fantastic, the roasted potatoes and parsnips were awesome, I couldn't have done them better than if I'd made them myself. OK to cut a long story short, the who Christmas day meal experience was fantastic, well done everyone at the Nags Head.Ben you and your staff were fantastic. Ben you must be very proud of them all.Thank you ...
Christmas dinner at the Wishing Well, Longwell Green, South Glos. …. Never again will I visit a Greene King pub after this awful experience. From start to finish a complete shambles. The final straw was when my wife’s vegetarian meal was given to her and potato and onion the pie was still frozen. The fact she had the pie at all was a shock as the pre booked Menu was for honey glazed nut roast. Flat beer and staff that really just did not want to be there just added to the awful experience. DONT go to one of these pubs … you have been warned !
A group of 4 have just had Christmas Dinner at the Tynersh Chertsey. We all had a great meal even though there were some problems. The staff kept us informed and were very concerned we would be disappointed. The chef even came out to make sure we all had what we needed and was very honest and told us that they had run out of some puddings we had ordered and offered replacements. Thanks to all the staff that worked so hard today and every day
The Monkhams, Buckhurst hill. The worst experience I've had in a long time. Will not be back. It took almost 45 minutes for the drinks ordered through the app to arrive. The food was small portions- child size! I did not get what I ordered and they charged extra for a side salad of green leaves when it was meant to be with the main meal. Went to the bar to order the food and one server couldn't work the computerised till and the second server was rude, claiming to be dyslexic and slow! She was very ignorant and did not even acknowledge me when i was trying to be polite with her.
