Fitzrovia Headmasters is a clean welcoming salon the staff are conscientious friendly and attentive. My colourist and stylist Francisca was and is professional informative and caring. I gave her an idea of what I wanted but asked Francisca to use her knowledge and skills to perfect the end result and I am so glad I did, the hair cut and colour has made me really happy I am so pleased the team are a credit to headmasters and will be returning again, Francisca is the best.
Great haircut, very friendly personal service has me coming back to Windsor every time I need a cut, even if its a 20 minute drive each way. My wife too . Anna always manages to squeeze us in for appointments. Amy and Dario always make the cuts enjoable for my wife & I respectively. Always a great experience.
on 01.10.25, I had a long Perm done in the Hammersmith branch by Manager Chelsea. ( 1st time in around 20yrs ) I left the shop with my.hair soaking wet and full.of leave in conditioner. The hair looked a bit wavey, due to not having one done for yrs, I thought this must be how they leave it now. ( very strange and very different to any other perm I've ever had). My hair never curled! yes she used large curlers , but there the exact same size I've had used on me before. I realised some days later that my hair was never put under heat with the curlers and solution on , to help it set . Hence no curls, just frizz. once it had dried out. This is Not a Perm, Chelsea the manager should have realised she missed out an important step to make the Perm take. I have to now wear my hair up due to the mess of it. I am so upset about the state of my hair and would Never go back there again.
I work full time and the only opportunities that i have for hair appointments is during the weekend. Every time i make an appointment at Headmasters (Richmond - London) on a Sunday, i wake up on the sunday morning to a missed call at 8.30 a.m. from the salon saying that the stylist has called in sick. They have serious issues of their staff calling in sick repeatedly on a Sunday and leaving customers with no a single solution. With this particular salon, i have had at least 10 instances where the stylist with whom i had the confirmed appointment had called in sick and they just left me a message and that's it. Zero effort from the salon to find an alternative appointment, no apology and absolute disregard to the customer experience. Some of my sunday appointments were for an event or a special occasion where i was left calling around different salons for a last minute appointment.I have never experienced a salon with zero customers service experience, rude staff, overpriced services. Today, was the worst experience: i had booked for a haircut appointment for my teenage daughter, only to be woken up to an 8.30 a,m call of the stylist calling in sick (it is a running joke in our household now).... i called back to only be treated with whatever attitude but this time i was not putting up with it, after a heated conversation and following my insistence for an alternative appointment, they finally "managed" to find an option (within the hour), following a mad rush to get my daughter to the appointment, only to be overcharged because they could not honour the originally booked stylist rate and only the top stylist was available. Totally ruined what was a special event day for my daughter. I was told that their only customer complaint process is to fill a form online, but having done that multiple times in the past with zero response or remediation, here i am....
Another great hair cut with Nafisa. Started going to her 3 years ago and couldn't recommend her more. I don't know what I need so ask for her recommendation and she delivers every time. Now I just sit down and say, I trust you and know that she'll do a great job. She's helped me donate my hair and fix covid home wonky trims. Highly recommend her and the Headmasters Windsor experience.
I asked for a simple bob with Louise. The sides matched each other, but not the back length we had agreed on. When I returned, I had to wait over an hour, and then spend another hour in the chair — it took ages for what should have been a very simple haircut. My hair ended up much shorter than I wanted and still uneven. The stylist gave a quick apology at the end, but the manager never did. Overall, a very disappointing experience.
I would recommend Headmaster to do very classical root colours, but not for hairstyling, cuts and balayage. I insisted on the phone that I wanted balayage, and they had booked me for simple highlights. Also, it seems in the UK they really do not get the Southern European concept of "different lengths": you will always end up with even-length curtains. Mediocre hairdressers, so do not look for originality when you get there. Go basic and you'll be satisfied.
