The whole point is to get ingredients that you can make the dish with, I got a raw avocado that you can hammer nails with. Even after a few days it’s still hard, and if I waited till now my other ingredients would have gone bad - so ended up going to the supermarket and buying replacement. Their in app feedback experience is broken so you cant report that
I had a subscription and cancelled it on the last possible day to cancel it before receiving a new box. A few days later Hello Fresh charged my bank account for the box I had cancelled. I reported it to the bank and they canceled the transaction for me. Then on the day I used to get the boxes, the bell rings and there is a Hello Fresh deliver person on my door. I explained the situation to him and said I would not receive the box because I did not pay for it, since I previously canceled it and later reported the payment (a charge that should not have happened since I had canceled) on my bank account.After that I started to receive every month messages from Hello Fresh asking for payment for my canceled box, a box that i did not even agreed to received and the delivery person took back!I tried to call to the customer service number that shows on the app and it says the number does not exist when calling. I tried the chatbot which did not solve. I tried email that was never responded.Now, 3 months later, I get an email from a third party Hello Fresh hires to solve their unpaid bills saying I needed to pay for almost double the amount of what just the box actually costs, and that it would keep increasing. WHILE THE BOX WAS CANCELED AND I DID NOT RECEIVE IT!!!!!I ended up paying but will NEVER sign up for Hello Fresh again, which is too bad for them because I used to love it and sign it for a few months for a couple of years now. Too bad they do not have the resources to resolve this kind of situation and I definitely recommend friends and in social media for people to NOT engage with Hello Fresh because they are not prepared to handle day to day situations.
The recipes are tasty and creative, with enough choice to sooth our family needs. The delivery is almost always on point, and I appreciate you started diminishing the amount of plastic you use for packing. What I am missing is to know the source of my veggies and I would love to have them sourced from local farmers, clean and biological.
the meal themselves were good, but the portions were way too small for two people. my partner was unexpectedly not at home this week so while i did have leftovers, the two portions were almost enough food for just me. i did get lost a few times in the recipe cards but that may be me not being used to them. i will continue using the device though.
The food is of excellent quality. However the difference in the amount of vegetables sent in comparison to the protein is huge. There's always too much vegetables (ridiculous amount!) and too little protein, and one has to always pay for the extra protein.
