Review Time
Hey folks, this is my SECOND review of this lousy company. AGAIN, I'd give this company a ZERO if possible.I received an approval to return these shoes. The return address is in Zhejiang, CHINA. The minimum cost to return a $60 pair of shoes that don't fit is $32, but it goes up from there. The return documentation said it must be in the original packaging, which was incredibly CHEAP. The return address on the packaging I received shows Rancho Cucamonga, CA, but the form states to return to 'JOHN' in Jinhua, China. POTENTIAL BUYERS, BEWARE! I paid for a pair of shoes that DON'T fit, and now I'm out $60. I'm not going to pay $32 or more to send these back. Instead of working with me to resolve this issue, the company is dodging their responsibility to appropriately handle THEIR problem. I would strongly advise any potential buyer to go to their local shoe store and purchase a pair they can try on! SHAME ON YOU HIKE BALANCE (or whatever Chinese subsidiary your are part of). What a scam!
I didn't realize how much my foot pain was affecting my mood until it was gone. Now I'm less irritable, more active, and even sleeping better because I'm not dealing with constant cramps at night. These shoes are worth every penny.
Response to reply:DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. The response seems empathetic and seems like they are willing to help. However, they will not respond in a timely manner. Their "policy" is that you can return the items ( you pay all shipping costs to China, plus extra costs per pair, plus you better insure the package!) within 30 days of purchase. I emailed them immediately after receiving the shoes, but they are incredibly non responsive. In fact, they made sure that they didn't respond with full instructions until the exact day that the 30 day period was up!!! Isn't that special!!! DON'T FALL FOR THEIR TOTAL SCAM.Initial review:I purchased 2 pairs of shoes and made sure I ordered slightly larger than European/US shoes because I wanted to add inserts. Even without inserts the shoes were far too tight. I immediately emailed the "support" email and was told that, in addition to shipping costs, I would have to pay them $30 to return them. I was livid. After a couple of emails, they told me to send pictures of the bottoms and the tops of the shoes and they would only charge me $15 plus shipping to return them. I sent them pictures and have yet to hear back from them. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM.
I really liked these shoes. I ordered two pairs in the size I usually wear. Both pairs were somewhat tight but one pair was definitely more narrow than the other. Even though I wore both pairs to try to and break them in, Hike Balance agreed to their 30 day return policy. But, they needed to be returned to China even though they were shipped to me (I live in CA) from Commerce, CA. It’s not worth the expense. I was willing to purchase a larger pair because I liked them so much. Not now.
