I had an issue with my bracelet not giving the right measurements and reached out to customer service. Wow they were so helpful, they detected a fault and replaced my bracelet immediately. It came within a few days and then helped me back and running … Thank you very much to Ivan !!
I had the original Aktiia and it worked and connected well and I was delighted with it. I then changed to the waterproof longer battery life model at about the same time as it changed to Hilo. Since then the product is hopeless. I can sit for ages doing all the right stuff and following the online instructions but no matter how I try I can so rarely get it to recalibrate. I have now stopped wearing it and I would recommend you do not buy this product until they have resolved these issues. I know I am not the only one that has these problems. It was very good, now it’s very bad.
Great to hear the medically certified readings.Was really hoping there would be Albertson either too high or too low. Also oxygen saturation would be helpful. It's great to get the reports, but my family needs to know right away if something is happening in present. I can tell this is more geared towards those with high BP as opposed to low. I wish there was a setting for those who function with low bp
Charger doesn’t fit very well so the watch keeps disconnecting. The sync is very flaky and days go by with no measuring. It doesn’t seem to work at all at night. Can’t force a measurement so I finish up getting the old cuff out to fill in the gaps. Overall poor and it will go in the bin
The Hilo band has changed my life ! This is a great tool to make your life easier. I cannot notice any difference between my usual blood pressure measurement device and the band. Initially, I was skeptical, but I got some advices from the customer service and the key is inthe calibration, it has to be done following the procedure neatly.
I like the concept but the implementation is incomplete:- You should be able to set alerts for high or low BP readings so you get told promptly- The free version only shows 1 week of data (very bad, it is our data, should not be hidden)- The week graph is a single point of the day rather than all the points (you loose the actual trend)- You should be able to trigger a BP measurement "now" when you want one
Owning a Hilo, previously Aktiia, is very reassuring!I have owned an Aktiia wrist BP monitoring system for years - I bought another recently.I was having hypertensive crisis episodes, and had no way of knowing, unless I was in hospital at that time.It has helped me to see what medication works best for me. It has given me insights into how my pressure is overnight, when I’m asleep. I had no idea I had lost my circadian rhythm, and didn’t expect to see how high it was when I was lying flat.My new Aktiia/ Hilo has a better charging system for the wrist band. I’ve noticed that each charge also lasts for a longer time than my first band. My readings are a great insight for my doctors.I don’t think I would ever be comfortable going back to relying on ‘manual, traditional’ readings. I get the whole picture, 24/7, It is very reassuring.
