Review Time
I will start by saying I LOVE Home Bargains and whenever I visit the store I have a positive experience. Unfortunately my online experience has been worlds apart. I always place a large order around November time each year (Christmas presents / decorations etc.) and for the past 4 years, my order has been sent and either delayed or lost. Whilst some of this could be put down to Evri (Delivery company), it never seems to happen with my other parcels. So I don't know what hope bargains do, maybe they don't parcel them up well and the boxes fall apart .. or maybe someone in my local depot waits for my order every year .. it is anyones guess. Anyway, this has in previous years always been sorted quickly via Home Bargains Customer Service and whilst annoying it has been handled well with the exception of this year. I have now been waiting 7 days for a response from Home Bargains and I have no other way to contact them as there is no call centre. Evri have confirmed my parcel is lost and i'm now out of pocket with no way to reach home bargains and either get replacement order or a refund.
I love HB but the Fratton store Portsmouth is far too laid back. Staff who know customers personally will chat for ages ignoring the long queues forming. Everytime I go in there this one girl on the till is always chewing gum. I find this unprofessional and quite rude. I’ve worked in retail and management would never have allowed this.
Online shop is horrendous! Both items on my ordered were sent incorrectly. The email support is ridiculous and very unhelpful, told to take them back to the store to rectify. I ordered online because I do not have an store near me. I am now out of pocket £25 and have 2 items which I didn't order sitting here. Will not be ordering from here anymore. Diabolical service!!
No customer service at all absolutely terrible company to use to buy online it says 3-5 working days and it still hasn’t be delivered it’s the 6th working day now. Give me a refund or a replacement as I still haven’t received my order. Total scam never use this company again
Do not use this online shop i ordered items paid, then I was told by evri it was damaged . I've tried to call and no one answers I've left emails no one gets back to me. You oew me £36.68 refund for items I paid for i didn't receive. Thats theft . I've contacted Lloyds bank who are now dealing with this
I bought nine pairs of grinch pyjamas for Christmas Day But had to order one pair online We received the wrong sizeWe have emailed numerous timesWith no response 😡I cannot get back to the shop because of WorkI would like these pyjamas now to be collected and refunded in full with our postage and packaging
Absolutley poor excuse of a company and complaints procedure. Ordered a parcel on the 19th November.’ Dispatched 23rd… all sounds great… until it wasn’t even attempted to be delivered and has been in the process of “being sent back for over 10 days”. Emailed to find out where my children’s Christmas presents I’ve ordered are for no reply! 8 days now and no answer from home bargains. I’ve tried contacting Evri as god knows what they’re doing with my parcel or have done…. I’m left completely in the dark for over £160 worth of toys with 2 weeks until Christmas. Disgusting. Change the complaints procedure and actually allow us to speak to humans and not wait weeks for a reply.. if I even get one!
One star because no star is not possible. I went to your store at Carisbrooke Retail Park today - what an absolute shambles. The shelves were virtually empty in some of the aisles - about three boxes of tissues on the ‘tissue shelf’. The aisles themselves could hardly be navigated as they were rammed with carts full of produce which presumably was destined for the shelves, at some distant point in time. There appeared to be no staff actually filling shelves and clearing carts. The store was busy as would be expected in the beginning of the Christmas run-up - people milling around trying to find their way through the maze of produce carts. A thoroughly miserable experience. I paid £17.30 for 6 x 220g of Quality Street along with other items online from Home Bargains. I received 1 x 220g Quality Street and everything else I ordered. Home Bargains do not have a phone number for Customer Services so I completed an online form. I received an email stating all items were there at check out! Be careful ordering from this company. I have the weight of the delivery box and 5 x 220g is missing. Someone in the warehouse is obviously stealing
