11 November - placed order online. 15 November - Evri emails me with 2 different delivery times then emails me to say "Sorry, your courier was unable to deliver your Home Bargains parcel today." I’d stayed in the whole day.17 November - Evri emails me again with 2 different delivery times then emails me to say "Sorry, your courier was unable to deliver your Home Bargains parcel today.” I’d stayed in the whole day.6 days since placing my order so I thought I would phone Home Bargains - no phone contact available. All I got was an automated message back from Home Bargains to say contact them if you haven’t had your order by "10 working days" - they call that customer service.Today Evri turned up in the morning not in the afternoon as their email stated; fortunately I was in as I like to be there when deliveries come, no email to say he was coming early, he just arrived. Box looked okay but when I opened it every Butchers dog tin was dented, the Winalot pouches box was squashed (fortunately not broken open) and the dog biscuits packages 2 were split open and everywhere in the box. The diary that I ordered was covered in dog biscuit dust and has dents and scratches on it. Covid tests squashed whether they will work or not who knows.I won’t be ordering from Home Bargains again.
Do not buy from here you won’t get your parcel, £111+ worth of things I order nearly a month ago and I haven’t received any of it, I’ve messaged over 50 times and they’ve ignored all my messages even on social media, I’m taking this further today I’ve had enough
I live in St Helens. I decided to shop at Home Bargains, Earlestown, WA12 9SE. On till 3, at 10.40 am. The cashier greeted the customer in front of me. When she served me, she didn't say hello and began to throw my items at me. I paid and she gave me my receipt. I usually say thank you, but not on this occasion. The customer after me, she cheerfully said, 'hello.' Why was I treated differently? Yes, you have guessed correctly. I am Black British. This cashier needs to be educated, retrained on how to treat customers or not work with members of the public.
Sue at Leigh Parsonage Retail Park. She is a lovely worker who deserves this review. She went out of her way to help my nan putting shopping onto the till. Every week she says good morning with a smile. There was another lovely lady we don't know her name , helped with finding a Christmas gift set.
Wish Trustpilot would do zero star :).So whilst doing my shopping for cleaning products - which can be cheaper here - than usual price elsewhere, I bought some Christmas gifts. At the till I asked if I could have a gift receipt for the items. She looked at me as if I were from Mars - she said “ we don’t ever do that here..” so my advise is do not do Christmas shopping here. Most retailers would do that - in fact some are now offering extended returns into January 2026. So I never do feel confident shopping here. Last time I left a review it was because they wouldn’t give me my money back on an item that didn’t work. If you ever get hassle from a retailer like this - just contact the bank and do reverse transaction - the shop will loose out and you won’t ! It’s ridiculous in this day and age - home bargains refuses to keep to the trading standards. Think of all the toys and gifts for sale that you cannot ever return- (oh and being disabled I was unable to return the items to the shelves.) so I left the store disappointed.
