I was NOT impressed with the massive hype in the service charge the moment I moved in as when I bought the place the service charge was 50-60 pounds more than I had EVER paid in the last 3 flats I had bought . And the court Manager Kelvin was a lovely man , helpful , very good at organising things and events and always there to socialise and had time to chat to everyone would give people a hand if they needed help no we have No- one ??????
Joan and Eric Paul moved into Cohen Court in Stockton on Tees in 2010 and we are very happy here. We have a superb Manager in Cath and we would like to thank Housing 21 for the donation of £200 to ease the cost of living increases. "THANK YOU"
My mother moved into Filey Fields Court not long after it opened. There is so much to love about it. They treat my mother with care and dignity and so much fun that her life is a joy. Peace of mind for family and a real chance of a good life beyond upsetting life changes for my mother and I’m sure many others. I think good management has a lot to do with success and the dedication from staff is fabulous.
The following remarks do not apply to Housing 21’s social housing but to their management of Fitzwarren House, a leasehold retirement property.Their communication is poor. They are very slow to take decisions. They prioritise the procedures and wishes of Housing 21 rather than the wishes of leaseholders. They have seriously broken the terms of the leases held by residents.Their long delays have led to greatly increased costs. As a result, leaseholders are being charged thousands of pounds each. This is unprecedented and certainly never occurred until Housing 21 took over the Head Lease. They have offered a contribution as they have not respected the leases but refuse to negotiate the amount. They cannot even decide whether these huge costs can be paid in instalments.Housing 21 have shown that they have no genuine care or concern for elderly leaseholders living on fixed incomes who are now in a state of considerable anxiety. At no time have they expressed an understanding of the difficulties they have caused. Their callous attitude has added to the sufferings of residents.
My Mum moved into Crandon Court in Nov 2022 and she couldn't be happier. Everyone is so friendly, she joins in and attend bingo and the coffee afternoons and her knitting needles have come out and she is knitting to keep her busy. . Bev has done everything to help her settle in and Angela goes above and beyond to make the scheme look fantastic with the different themes. She is so happy there and has no regrets and for us as a family that is wonderful
Housing 21 oldham is a fantastic part of the Housing 21 family. We live on Saint George's Square chadderton and have got to say Housing 21 could not do enough for us , when reporting repairs they send someone out to sort it in some instances within the hour never have we had to wait more then a day excellent service. The property we live in is top quality and just recently we had solar panels fitted at no cost which helps with bills etc . Around where we live there is a lot of green spaces expecially at the back of the bungalows probably the size of a football pitch that is just there doing nothing and it's a shame we couldn't have something done with that ie green houses or planting areas for the residents this would be brilliant 👏 Housing 21 is a fantastic housing group 10/10 keep up the good work. My wife and I, aged 92 and 87 respectively, moved into Housing and Care 21's Webb Ellis Court group of 61 two bedroom flats, in Rugby, Warwickshire, three years ago.Our flat is on the top floor of this lovely complex which was built seven years ago. We are so happy, and we consider, lucky to be here. With housing benefits etc applied, we get great value for money... much less costly than care homes. We have underfloor heating, a modern fully fitted kitchen in a large, open plan living room., two bedrooms and a lovely bathroom with full facilities for older residents. Our flat, on arrival, was fully fitted with new carpets throughout, double glazed windows with roller blinds etc.Webb Ellis Court, like most of Housing 21 complexes, has great facilities within the premises. We have our own restaurant (with facility to deliver meals to flats, where required). The menus are very varied and offer a choice each day. We also have our own hairdressers, "wellbeing suite", laundry, and mobility scooter parking. Our gardens are well stocked and residents can work in them as required. We are so happy to be living here. We are fully independent and free to come and go for shopping, days out with relatives, etc.Housing 21 complexes offer the ideal alternative to "care homes" are considerably less expensive, and offer much more freedom. Many Housing 21 complexes have comprehensive care facilities with "nurse trained" staff, which are always on the premises for those who need them. Management staff are always ready to help. I would thoroughly recommend Housing 21 and Housing and Care 21 to any older person or couple looking for a lovely place to live, but who are "not ready" for a care home.We love it here.
