IBAS are a joke

(((( be sure to read IBAS reply to this review... talk about dummy spat out. Listen IBAS if you made decisions fir the greater good of gamblers I wouldn't complain but in actual fact you are not independent your the bookmakers lackeys and your paid for by the bookies.. no wonder they get to choose what you can and cannot adjudicate !!! What a sham)))))IBAS are a joke, yes you will see some desperados on here saying they are great because they sorted their issue out but what you done see is the thousands of customers IBAS let down. Like me for example, Betway have stolen my deposit of £50 and they admit it.. but IBAS refused to take any action because of they "only deal with complaints about bets and not the actions of the bookie when it comes to deposits and withdrawals - that for eCOGRA".. who are also a complete waste of timeIBAS took no action when william hill did me out of a £3300 payment for a winning bet - i won it on Crazy Time, I had £3 on a bonus game that paid 1100 to 1.. my screen went blank after the game but i did see the amount i won go into my pot.... after the screen came back the pot was empty of the £3300 and my original £230 in the pot. ''I took my complaint to IBAS who sent me a reply after a couple of months telling me what the bookmakers said, which was that they had no idea what i was talking about and that the game i played was not in error, and that I hade been paid out at £55.. and that my pot money £230 had been played.!! IBAS simply stated that their response was that of the bookmakers and that was it. I asked for the video recording of the bet as they do keep them on record, IBAS refused to obtain it. so all in all IBAS are just another cog in the money making gambling system where bookmakers are stealing money on top of making money... IBAS, eCOGRA, Gambling Commision all in bed with all the bookies... its a national disgrace

My name is Aaron and I think it is a disgrace how I only JUST got a response back from my complaint. Nearly a year after complaint. Of course in bed with the bookmaker!2. The bets were as follows:£600 on Iryna Shymanovich at odds of 4/9 to win game 2, set 1 of her match against Caijsa Wilda Henneman£310 on Iryna Shymanovich at 4/9 to win game 2, set 1 of her match against Caijsa Wilda Henneman£101 on Lavinia Tanasie at 4/1 to win game 5, set 3 of her match against Martina Caregaro£676 on Maileen Nuudi at 10/21 to win game 2, set 1 of her match against Enola ChiesaCorals response was.5. The operator responds that because of a technical problem with their live feed, markets on the above matches did not suspend on time, allowing bets to be placed after the outcome was known.6. The operator has supplied system data showing that the customer’s bets on Shymanovich were late by 32sec and 56sec, the bet on Tanasie was late by 71sec and the bet on Nuudi was late by 46secIf there was a technical error then why wasnt the market cancelled? As a punter I can not tell that I am 1 minute or less late when placing a bet? If they have the market open then that means under UK gambling Act laws they are accepting the bet? i do not accept these findings and I want my £4,788.40 back! I am not even complaining about the odds I am complaining that they accepted my bet yet didnt close the market then they are saying seconds is the reason why it would invalid. Complete clowns!EDIT!!!They say both must have the opportunity to win? Then why is it that I place a bet and they use seconds as an excuse for taking away my winnings. That does not give the punter an opportunity to win. I placed my money on markets that I thought was active and live to my knowledge. I only have the betting website as a guide. I do not have access to any other live sport feed. Coral does. Yet they still offered those odds and accepted the bet. This basically means that any markets they deem they can turn around and "void" or class as "late bets" or even hide behind palpable error. So it isnt palpable error or late if I lose my bets? The opportunity for the bookmaker to win exists when they draw up the odds! My opportunity is when I put my money on the line! IBAS can only be on the side of bookmakers! I did not have access to data on the exact second my bet was placed vs what coral says happened in real life when each point was won! That data I have not been shown. All I could do was login and place my bets. I had no stream and no live data available. Just a market that I decided to bet on!Please Please Never rely on IBAS they are in bed with the bookies.

Bookie Basher!! A good experience with IBAS from the…

A good experience with IBAS from the very start. My dispute with Betfair was initiated swiftly by case manager Mr James Ironside.Mr James Ironside was very professional and extremely helpful taking my case forward against Betfair; Mr James Ironside was meticulous and understood my predicament eg open position unable to manage due to prolonged suspension of market.Betfair initially offered a derisory £25 compensation as goodwill gesture and final settlement; if I did not accept the offer would be rescinded eg if I went to IBAS. This was repeated on several email exchanges with Betfair. My dispute with Betfair centred on Man City Football Specials; the market was suspended suddenly without consultation or communication; suspension period was from 2nd May till June 3rd then extended to June 10th - the club's competition finals even when no game involving Man City or Arsenal that could influence the English Premier League. Prior to IBAS involvement I got nowhere (merely fobbed-off) eg Betfair has the right to suspend any market if they see fit; they were within their right under the terms and conditions, etc, etc; prior to this I was ignored until I sent an email to Mr Jackson CEO of Betfair.Several exchanges of emails between myself and Mr James Ironside mainly for updates, and to discuss the way forward post a Betfair response; between Mr James Ironside and Betfair. Eventually Betfair admitted their market was "malformed" - Betfair's description. Soon after Betfair indicated they'd look at my account in view of any losses incurred post 10th June (Man City European Cup Final). This morning post an email from Mr James Ironside to Betfair for an update on the above ie put right my account Betfair I was refunded just under £700 for not able to manage my position due to a "malformed" market and prolonged suspension; I'm ecstatic!I'm absolutely certain this will not have been possible without the intervention of IBAS in particular Mr James Ironside; I'm so grateful to Mr James Ironside for this outcome. This episode has made me very vary of The Exchange given the power of those responsible at Betfair despite they were in the wrong eg fobbing me off; ignoring several requests for email communication, etc.I'd advise any dispute one may have with a bookie it pays to approach IBAS; prior send an email to their CEO. Otherwise most probably you'll be ridden rough-shod by the bookie.Thank-you Mr James Ironside and IBAS.

IBAS did all they can, but.......

I referred a dispute with Ladbrokes to IBAS (the details of my very unfair account closure is well documented on Ladbrokes page here). Whilst I knew this fell outside of the remit of IBAS, I felt they had listened and understood my frustrations, and offered me advice on how to proceed with Ladbrokes. The whole gambling industry needs a major overhaul of how companies are allowed to treat their long standing customers, without any ombudsman or overriding control over them, they can discriminate freely because they can, they even refused to pay out a winning bet of just £2 unless I instruct my lawyer, again, just because they can! Their T&C's say they don't even have to give a reason! I don't know if this attitude is exclusive to Ladbrokes, but I'd certainly advise anyone to not deposit with them.I didn't expect IBAS to be able to put things right for me, but it felt like there was a real person there, who was at least sympathetic to my case. It's frustrating that there is nobody externally who I can complain to about this, as I really have a very valid case. Of course, I emailed a complaint to Ladbrokes (many times), but they failed to reply to it. The Gambling Commission "noted my case", but couldn't act on it. There really needs to be a complaints procedure in place, or a UK telephone number for Ladbrokes, as the call centre staff are only trained to quote their T&C's and hang up.Thanks for listening IBAS, but I remain incredibly frustrated that there is nothing at all I can do about unfair discrimination being allowed to go on unchallenged.

Not sure what to write here my experience so far hasn’t been great. I’ve had a complaint now in for just over months and I’m still awaiting an outcome. 17th of January I was appointed my case manager Danny Cracknell who has been in contact since not going to negatively review his performance he’s been ok but I was told after 4 months they had the wrong contact details for Scot bet they now have new details but still awaiting an outcome. Is there anychance my case can be looked and please and a decision made I was offered £26 at the time by the scot bet cashier which was crazy as there was no evidence to where the £26 came from I rejected it and took my case up with you guys. Case number IBAS 88720 thankyou

A brilliant experience from the ibas

A brilliant experience from the ibas. Having disagreed with the decision of a gaming companies decision, Ibas reviewed my concerns, addressed the issue with the company and found in my favour. Once engaged the process took less than 4 weeks. I'm personally very grateful of the support I received and would highly recommend ibas.
