I chose iPlum because I wanted a HIPAA compliant platform for client communication. I have really struggled with aspects of this app including clients not being able to hear me- they describe me sounding like i am far away from the phone when I speak, and not getting text messages at the time the message was sent from the client. I also sometimes will get notified of a text, open the app to read the text, and will not be able to see the text in the app for a long while- sometimes an hour later. I wish I had a better platform for communicating with my clients and feel this app really hinders my ability to have a strong, successful practice.
I need to be easily reachable to get more deals done, and so I used to give out my personal mobile number to everyone. As my business grew, I began to worry about my privacy. I wanted a separate phone number for my business, but I did not want to carry two phones. As I was researching for a solution, a friend recommended that I try iPlum app and get a second number on mobile. I found that texting works better than email for quick conversations and for sending images and documents. Responses are quick and I feel that we can close deals faster.
IPLUM ' support ' very poor; I couldn't get the phone to ring on incoming calls; I contacted them numerous times and the ' support ' department would respond haphazardly...the last time...I waited almost 24 hours and NO response....Bad, Poor, Service!!!
iPlum has helped my business add a second line without the extra expense. As a small business every cent counts. The app is streamlined and easy to use. All info is private. And the call recording function is a huge help when referring to incoming lead discussions. If you’re a small business owner looking for big business resources, iPlum is for you.
Read this before you commit to any plans and pre-pay for services with this company! If it will cost you money to talk to someone over the phone $14.95 to even setup the account, imaging what you will go through if you encounter a technical or billing problem later. The setup process is not clear especially if you are porting a number in. If you are comfortable with email support that may be ignored for weeks, then go ahead and sign up with them.Side note: There are plenty of other reputable companies that will provide you with phone support, help you sign up, offer a trial period, answer your questions, care for your business, and provide excellent reliable solutions. I don't recommend this company at all.
Greetings all- I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. I wanted to share with you all my experience with iPlum. This was an app I purchased that allowed me to port my business phone number into my iPhone (without upgrading to a dual SIM). It cost about $100 for the year- advertising Unlimited Text and Calls. Overall the app performed fairly well. Since quarantine I have been using my business number quite a bit- low and behold their UNLIMITED plan, is LIMITED! I wanted to call them to find out what was going on, but guess what it's $20 to call customer service! I can email for free. I emailed and got a fairly quick reply, but didn't really explain why they advertise Unlimited, when it's limited. I was told I needed to buy 'global credits' - 2000 for $20- no explanation as to how those credits were used- just that they were worth 1 cent per credit- I was burning through those credits, approximately every 10 days or so. I decided to upgrade my cell phone to a dual sim phone and port over my number and be done with iPlum - guess what they wanted $20 to port my number! T-Mobile told me they've never heard of a company doing this. PLEASE BEWARE OF USING IPLUM. Stay safe everyone.
