Nobody across Jaguar UK, Germany and even MENA seem to be able to provide me with the original technical specs of my used Jaguar XKR. I ended up moving to Germany with a UK registered Jag (imported from Dubai years ago) that I now cannot register in my new place of residence because it is impossible to find that data, which the German authorities require before they can OK the car for local registration... which basically means I need to get this car back to the UK and sell it there. How can something this simple be so complicated in XXI century is beyond me.
Waiting 4 months for a part to arrive to be told it will be 10 weeks before they can fit me in to get the part fitted. Poor customer service, poor communication, chasing updates and dealing with awkward / argumentative customer service agents has left me with a bitter taste in my mouth and I can’t wait for the lease to be up on my car as the service from this company is the worst. All in all it will be a 6 month wait to order the part and have it fitted. What a joke!
Discovery Sport went in for safety recall on 13th April 2023, still waiting for parts after 8 weeks for steering column bolts sheering, not dealers fault, JLR did not order stock for the recall. Have hire car, can't take my dogs in it, no tow bar, need tow bar for my small boat.JLR Customer Experience not interested fobbed off and passed around with no success
Worst car manufacturer I have ever dealt with. Took my car in with a routine issue. In doing that they broke a part which they could not source in their supply chain. I was without my vehicle for 8 months. Several other issues with vehicle suddenly then sprang up of the back of it. What did Land Rover do to say sorry. They said Sorry, thats it. I reckon their errors cost me close to £7k in extra expenses. Incredibly bad company. Avoid them at all costs.
Very poor customer services. Received a recall for a bolt but now they are saying they broke a bigger part and they don’t have the parts in stock. The problem is they organised a small rental vehicle to replace my RangerRover Evoque. Now I can’t do school run etc with my kid at the back of a tiny car. Very uncomfortable with people with children.
They advertised a job - "no experience needed". Had an interview and got invited to an assessment center. They pull out a stopwatch and give you 5 minutes to fit a clutch pedal without making any mistakes. Fail and they kick you out. They don't care about giving normal people a real chance or training them up. I see them regularly recruiting and sacking workers. They just want mechanics to make cars as fast as possible and that certainly explains why their vehicles are notoriously unreliable.
Absolutely disgusting I paid 110k for a Westminster Full service history it's been in the garage 5xI've git videos of q service where parts are corroded. It's 12 months old bought from newIt went in to Stockport branch Sytner for 6 weeks and I still don't have a report for what went wrongIt then went in to Bolton vertu and what a set of toolsAbsolutely embarrassed by the whole situation I've sold the car and will never be buying anything again from these monkeysNo manners compassion just take your money and laugh disgusting
Selling faulty cars without the parts to support them. Bought a new Range Rover sport P440e. Got home and noticed the cameras were not working. Called up the retail garage to be told no service appintments for 2 months. Managed to get an appointment in Newbury 4 weeks later (soonest in the UK). Newbury diagnosed a fault with an electrical module. Part was on backorder - no idea or date when it would be available. 5 months later the module supposedly arrives. Car taken to Oxford, and then told that Newbury misdiagnised and it is actually a manufacturing wiring fault. Again, no parts, no idea when the parts will arrive. Had a brand new car for over 6 months and JLR & their dealers can't fix it. SHOCKING - LET THIS BE A WARNING TO EVERYONE. To make matters worse, in the last week the car won't charge; it gets stuck on initialising. Next available appointment........2 months. JLR are selling and launching new vehicles without the ability to support them and provide parts! I am told there are many owners in this situation. It's a scandal. UPDATE After 6 weeks Land Rover are not sure what the charging problem is and yet again - NO PARTS, NO IDEA WHEN THEY WILL GET THEM! You would have to be barking mad to buy a Land Rover product right now. Rejecting the car is a nightmare too. Nobody taking responsibility. Land Rover blame the dealers - the Dealer blames Land Rover. etc etc. Ignoring the customer. I know this is not an isolated experience. Many others in the same boat. Land Rover AND the dealers are doing severe damage to the brand.
Land Rover read linkedin pages to see owners with legitimate complaints, then call their employers - Harassment / Blackmail/ ThreatsLand rover have gone to new lows in the ethical code of practice. I was informed by my employer that Land Rover had been in contact with them regarding my problem vehicle and the fact that I'd persisted in it (ie my legal consumer right). The TMO have proof that they lied to them like me. There can only be one reason for this contact and that's to threaten business and bully, to try to intimidate the employer to lean on employee to stop trying to get a legitimate fault repaired and to withdraw my TMO issue. I actually now have in my hand my own legal Data subject access requested information and they have not logged this contact which they are totally obliged to do ie they are taking private information, sharing it and not logging it. I believe already there is a court case pending against LR and I will be the 2nd. I refuse to be intimidated - Full stop. They seem to go to any means to get the warranty costs down on their dangerous and unreliable vehicles.
