We ordered the Hali 8 seater table and chairs in early march for £1200, Inc cover, and what a nightmare it has been since. The original order bizarrely came in 5 deliveries about a month later. Across the 8 chairs we had three with bad scratches in the metal frame, and 1 chair top with rope exposed/unravelling. We reported this as the deliveries arrived in dribs and drabs, however we are STILL waiting for replacements. We had one chair base replacement that doesn’t even have holes that align with the chair top and has a short leg, so also no good. Since then, another chair rope has started to unravel. The table looks nice but was a nightmare to fit - again the pilot holes didn’t align, but as it was wood we could just about with with it. We have asked for a refund on the chairs only due to awful quality (which they agreed was the case) and damage. They have told us we can only return if all items are in original packaging and we have to pay for the return! I am not sure where they think we would have stored 9 very large boxes all these weeks whilst we’ve been waiting for them to rectify this whole thing.DO NOT ORDER. Any issues, and it will cost you hundreds in faulty poor quality goods!
I contacted the company to order swatches for a bed as they had an error on their website and I couldn't order that way. It took 2 weeks of back and forth messages, then a promised phone call to resolve the issue which never happened. The worst customer service I have experienced, and that was just to order swatches. I can only imagine how difficult the order for the actual bed would have been. Would not recommend.
rdered a dresser as a special present for my daughter's 16th Birthday. It arrived without any screws to put together. I had to wait the bank holiday for a reply which was they could send replacements screws (7-10 days wait) or I could go buy myself and they'd reimburse me (not easy to find the right ones). I'm sure the furniture is lovely but its a shame I can't put it together and my daughter hasn't been able to see her 16th present and now her bday has passed. Completely spoilt the surprise I'd saved up for to give her and make her bday special. Terrible customer services.
The Bampton 7 chest of drawers arrived on the 14th April with 14 damaged or poor finish parts. I contacted customer care and provided pictures on the same day, 4 days later I was told replacement parts were being ordered. It's now the 4th May, no replacement parts and a set of drawers Ive not been able to build for 3 weeks. No I do not recommend and as a first time customer, I will not be returning.Edit 8/5/25 - changed to 4 stars as they've given me a full refund. It's not the perfect outcome as I'm still drawer-less but at this stage I'm happy to accept.
I bought a sofa bed from this company it is fabulous to look but that’s about it. It cannot be used at all as a bed. It’s only okay to sit on as a sofa, after sitting on it for awhile a dent can be left but will go after awhile, which I worry about over time. It is uncomfortable and not suitable to be used as a bed at all. I bought a mattress topper and it’s still uncomfortable, the timber boards can be felt when lying on it as a bed and a seat. It is not fit for the purpose I ordered it for. I have contacted the company to explain my issue and they want a photo to prove it’s uncomfortable which is impossible. Today they marked my issue as solved. At over €500 it’s a complete waste of money be warned.
Ordered a garden table with cover 2 weeks ago. Delivery companies gave tracking numbers, No delivery, Tracking numbers do not update ,advised not picked up from supplier. Phone call advised from Laura James will receive by today, Joke of a company, where tracking states not picked up.
Unbelievably incompetent company. Was sent a unit with 2 damaged panels. Unfortunately I did not realise they were damaged until it had been assembled. Contacted Laura James requesting return for a refund, explaining the damage and also poor quality of the unit overall (cheap looking and the doors do not fit squarely), but they refused a refund because we’d assembled and disassembled it. They eventually sent replacement panels, but these were also damaged! I again requested return for refund, which again they refused. They sent further more panels, which I’ve had to wait a month for, but oh guess what? These are damaged too!! Unbelievable! I cannot believe how incompetent one company can be. I am waiting to hear from them. Whatever you do today, DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY!
Ordered a TV unit from here at £100 and when it arrived every single part was damaged. I called customer support who arranged for a replacement to be sent and the damaged one to be collected on a particular day the following week. The next day I had a text from the deliver company to say it would be delivered that day between an hour time slot. I cancelled my appointment to be in as it wasn’t the day that had been arranged, the delivery driver refused to take the damage one away when this was what Laura James had advised, he also showed up three hours early so I cancelled my appointment for no reason. The new replacement is also heavily marked and damaged. Called customer support and I have to submit another email with loads of different photos, match every damaged part up to a part number and await an outcome, so I currently have 2 massive heavy damaged tv units in boxes in my home with currently no outcome. Really really poor customer service
Absolutely terrible qualityAbsolutely terrible quality ! We purchased 2 sets of drawers and the tall vanity drawers. To begin with , they take forever to assemble . The composite board they are made from is basically cardboard . The screws just rip out when the drawers are in use . Of you plan to use the drawers for anything heavier than a pair of trousers, the runners collapse and the central support just snaps causing the whole unit to collapse ! One of the legs also just snapped off from underneath and the material used is prone to disintegrating. The paint also lifts and cracks off the surface . They will not offer any sort of refund once you have built the units only replacement parts . Replacement parts just continue to break , thus rendering the furniture useless. If I could burn it all I would !
