I requested a brochure and once received I was able to chose the bed I liked best. I 'phoned the company and spoke to a charming gentleman who spent time explaining all I need to know, including a check on my height and weight. We discussed the mattress choice as I was unsure about a memory foam mattress, but after hearing of the benefits and reminded that I had 7 days to decide I went ahead with my order. Delivery info was clear and I didn't have to wait too long. The chaps who removed my old bed and delivered the new one were prompt, quick and efficient and I couldn't have asked for more. I am sure my back is better since I have been sleeping in my new bed, even though I have used adjustable beds for about 20 years. Thank you. I am delighted with my ourchase

Unfortunately, the bed turned out to be too large for the room and quickly became unsuitable due to my mom's decline in health. My mum, who is 92 next month ordered a Laybrook bed and leg lifter at a total cost of over £2,300. Told me the sales team were lovely to her and the bed arrived promptly as promised. It seems that she sat on it and realised that her physical condition prevented her from getting on the bed properly but was too timid to tell anyone for almost two weeks. I understand that the trial period is only 7 days but given that no-one has used the bed I hoped that Laybrook would consider accepting it back (possibly with a fee for collection). I phoned the customer services team who were also lovely but totally uncompromising. Told me that if they took it back it had to be destroyed even though it was basically brand new. I’m so sorry that my mum has lost her money and I’m a bit surprised that neither the sales people or the engineer who brought it in realised it was unsuitable. Lesson to be learnt - try it while the engineer is in the house!
I ordered a chair after being told by the occupational therapist that I should not be lifting my wife and found this company online. It is sad that their sales person did not have any brochures of the range but I managed to purchase a model from his iPad. Every one is polite but need asking and delivery was reasonable to time. The driver did not explain anything and we were never advised what electronics were needed. Sad to say that I am still lifting my wife up as the chair is designed for elderly people not disabled and my wife who is otherwise healthy was knocked down by a dog in the park and hit her head and now has brain damage. Good company basically but should provide more information and the booklet with the chair advertises a different company. Since I wrote this article within four days the USP cable snapped. I had requested a three metre cable not knowing that the chair has two leads and when you move the chair the cable snaps. As Laybrook are agents it took three weeks for an engineer to call. He had the wrong part and two weeks later am still waiting for the cable repair. Everyone is polite but if you are disabled it is very distressing and inconvenient.
After investigating many online adjustable bed sites.I arranged a site visit at the Laybrook, Bicester factory to review their products.We were surprised to be led into a demonstration room with several bed examples, plus to my surprise a set of weighing scales and a person height measuring deviceWe were both questioned about our requirements for an adjustable bed, taking into consideration of our individual height and weight and health issues and, that needed specific requirements.After trying the beds and mattresses we settled on a Thornbury Dual Adjustable Bed, which was The bed was manufactured to our requirements. I was contacted about the delivery by email agreeing dates and times of delivery. The delivery was on time, the driver phoning me when he was 20 minutes out ensuring that I was prepared. The engineers set the bed up and showed us how to use the controls, they also took my old bed away.After a few nights sleeping on the bed, we found that the mattress did not suit our sleeping arrangement. A phone call to Stuart, to discuss the issue. I was talked through the type of mattresses available. we agreed on a mattress that fitted our needs. This again was well orchestrated and delivered on time as agreed. The complete progress took place with excellent customer participation. This included a refund on the price difference of the mattress cost.The entire team at Laybrook were prompt, courteous, and efficient. They had clearly defined processes that prioritise customer satisfaction and were quick to address my concerns. I would recommend this company to anyone needing an excellent quality adjustable bed.
I have just had an adjustable delivered and I am a very satisfied custoner. I had it made to my own requirements. The delivery was in time and I was contacted about the delivery by email and the driver contacted me on the day when they were about 20 minutes away. The engineers set the bed up and showed us how to use the controls, they also took my old bed away. I would recommend this company to anyone needing an excellent quality adjustable bed .
I am delighted with the bed. I have arthritis, so was unsure if I could use the controls and if it would help me, I needn’t have worried they are easy. The mattress is so comfortable I sleep like a log. The bed is easy to move with castors fitted that lock.Thank you Stuart in Sales for his help, advice and patience in explaining the various options available, Maria for sorting out the transport promptly and Alan for setting it up.I have no problem in recommending Laybrook to anyone who’s thinking about getting an electric bed, I should have got one years ago.
