Review Time
Laybrook technical team, only from my photographs, are now suggesting misuse, although not very specific. Why did the electric motor case explode? How did the plethora of loose fittings, bent bolts, pulled sunken screwheads and oval shaped drilled holes appear ?Laybrook initially sent their engineer who, apart from fitting the replacement motor back-to-front, did not recognise that the hand controller was also operating in reverse. Laybrook seem quite comfortable hiding behind the expired warranty although they should recognise there was a problem. They did offer an unappealing £650 one year guaranteed repair, and I did give a three star rating because for 60% of its use the bed was excellent.
The bed is great and arrived on time. It was assembled and ready within half an hour. I was so pleased with the expedited service because I needed to get the bed quickly and they managed to go from ordering to delivery in just a couple of weeks. The sales service was exceptional, with great care taken to ensure all the specifications of the bed were correct and suitable for my Mum's personal conditions.
