Review Time
You just can't get it activated, I've tried at least 10 times, but couldn't make it work. The validation step fails each time. I'm a software developer and have seen that the validation api actually returns a successful response but the page doesn't seem to pick up on that. Save yourself some time and don't buy it.
On my visit to Italy i thought to myself to use lyca mobile Italy services... worst decision ever and most appalling customer service i ever received in my entire life!!I bought their esim online and then i tried and tried and tried endlessly for 3 days to register this sim. The website will crash and will continually send you back to their rubbish "complycube" identification service. I've taken dozens and dozens of photos of myself and my documents and uploaded them on their servers only to go to next step which will say you need to enter your name and birthplace... When i phoned up customer services they will send me to local shops to be assisted, the local lyca retailers will not assist any customer because they get no incentives whatsoever apparently from lyca, all shops i visited bluntly said "you buy from me I'll help" ... Travelling half hour away to find a local lyca retailer negates the whole purpose of using online services anyway. After 4 days of trying to register this sim card i gave up and requested a refund, my holiday was nearly over anyway.Lesson learnt lyca Italy is completely useless and have appalling services, use a more trusted service provider in the future! The ratings they have here are for a good reason
Terrible experience with this company in Italy. After purchasing an eSim through their website, I received it via email and activated it using the QR code. Signal was received on my phone, and I proceeded with the required registration via their website, later receiving confirmation via email that the card had been successfully registered. (It is worth mentioning, I encountered issues with their website, which failed to register the eSim even after 10 attempts, last one luckily worked). However, their promised SMS containing the phone number never arrived, Lyca never activated the card, inactive to this day. Despite contacting customer service three times via phone, I received no solution, only excuses: "try registering again," "wait 24 hours," "wait another 24 hours,”. The email support is non-existent, I have sent several letters with no response. Stay away from this company, I will be requesting a chargeback via my credit card issuer for a non delivered product.--------March 18 ,2024 Update---------- :I eventually received an email confirming the registration of the eSim. However, despite briefly displaying a signal on my phone (on 16 March), the QR code failed to function properly as the added ESIM disappeared immediately. The suggestion over the phone from Lyca's customer was to purchase a new eSIM, which I found utterly outrageous. I demanded a refund to ascertain their commitment to customer satisfaction (let's see if they do). Overall, my interactions with this company resulted in over 60 minutes wasted on calls, they're completely useless with incompetent clerks that barely understand. I strongly advise against making purchases here. This represents the most egregious instance of poor customer service and inadequate "solutions" across the seven countries I've resided in.--------April 06,2024 Update---------- :Lyca mobile NEVER refunded me. They scammed me out money.
Unfortunately several unresolved issues with this provider. In short:- after numerous communications and promises, they still weren't able to transfer my previous number.- numerous trips abroad and no possibility to use EU roaming even though the packages I purchase always claim to include EU- roaming. Very frustrating. When I complained upon return to home country, I was informed EU roaming does not always work. If that's the case, refund me for some of the package price that claims it is included.- After a trip abroad, my Lyca sim is no longer available on my phone. It doesn't seem to be recognized at all. I took out the sim card and put it into another phone to check if it was an issue with the phone or the card - it's clearly the card. And of course Lyca CS isn't available on the weekend (after 18:0 on Sat) so I'm stuck with no options or service until Monday morning. At that time, I'll probably be asked to order a new card (which will take a few days to reach me) and they'll probably claim that I can maintain my previous number -- though due to my past experience I doubt that will work. So I think it's time for me to move on to another provider. Conclusion: definitely won't recommend this provider to anyone. -------------------------------------------------------Thanks for your reply, Naveen. The matter of transferring my previous number has taken so long that I've now informed all my contacts of this new number, so I'm not going to go through the hassle of changing it back, again.Right now, my MAIN concern is that my sim card doesn't work and therefore I can't make nor receive calls, nor do anything else unless I happen to be home and connected to WiFi. So what I need is for Lyca to somehow ensure that my number (+39 351 0939450) functions again ASAP. I don't know if that will require a new sim card or a reboot of my current card (which just seems to be defective and not recognized by any phone I insert it into). In short, I just need that to be taken care of ASAP. Could you please let me know what you need from me to ensure this is done? Thanks.==================================Another update on 5/3:With regards to my earlier comment regarding no coverage during travels abroad: there have been multiple trips to Holland and Germany in the past couple months during which Lyca provided no coverage for me. In the end, I had to revert to purchasing a local sim card and/or rely on wifi in those countries.I truly hope to hear from Lyca CS very soon. Update 6 March:Still no update from LYCA CS while I remain disconnected. Also, still no reply received to the request I sent to LYCA CS via email 2 days ago (other than the automated response to inform me the request had been received). Can it get much worse?
I have had a problem with deactivation of auto-renewal, on the website you could do that but for some reasons, if you check again after a few days you will see that auto-renewal is still active. In fact I was charged when we got to the end of term.Luckily the operator Tristan Zyril helped me solve the issue and was very fast and efficient. Thanks Tristan
Poor coverage in whole Italy. Was getting LTE signal all around, not even 3G. The guy told me operates under Vodaphone's network.A BIG LIE.Very bad network, unfortunately.Bought it from:Siena phone lab VAT ID IT01523510525 Via del porrione 52 53100 Siena ItaliaID utente: MZFPPKGYID transazione: T69F66X94DN. ricevuta: MZFPPKGY-1242
Yesterday I bought an esim in Italy with the Silver Italy package. I received the QR code and I manage to install it and in the email they said that once installed it is activated. The problem is that it is not working, I didn’t even receive my phone number. I restarted my phone, reset the network settings and nothing worked. I called the customer service for several times and they couldn’t help me but say call again and an other operator is gonna answer and tell you what to do. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone as you are losing your time and money.
On 2n of February I wanted to buy online an eSim. After putting all my details, I accepted the transaction, I was charged, but on their website was written that the transaction failed. I immediately called customer service and they said to write an e-mail. It’s been 2 weeks since then and I still didn’t got any response, or my money back. Do not waste your time with this company.
