Review Time
This road is easy to avoid going North to South even though the satnav wants to take you on it.I had to go to Solihul yesterday coming back the dam satnav would only direct me to this toll road. After driving miles to avoid it I eventually had to let the satnav have its way. I only stopped at one toll booth, guessing I did maybe 5 miles on it, looked at my bank in the evening £9.70 charge, then this morning another £1.70 so £11.40 to travel around 5 miles if that.I am retired so I cannot claim this money back as an expense.Not even any foreplay before they gave it to me.If the maximum charge is £9.70 then what is the extra £1.70 for this morning?
Appalling Online Receipt System - A one-arm, neolithic, Chimpanzee could write a better receipt system than the new M6 Toll website..... What the absolute!!!!Who on earth thought this was a good system?!? Previously - Tap and go or pay an attendant = Print your receipt - claim it back. Now - Oh no no no no.... Tap and go, then spend the next three days working out which vehicle you were in, when you travelled, and what card you paid for.... It should be as simple as Whats your reg... here are all your journeys for a period of time. Atrocious - don't bother replying to this message M6 Toll people, instead fire whoever designed it (or ask for your money back). Get working on a much better system.
Used the M6 Toll yesterday, I used it because the exit for Lichfield is on there, cannot believe the cost of that road. anyway tried to download my receipts and my PC wont let me connect because the site is unsafe!!!!!(This server could not prove that it is customers.m6toll.co.uk; its security certificate expired in the last day). They take a fortune for the toll and cant even keep on top of their own website.
this is an absolute disgrace of a toll road, and a scam to boot! over priced, no receipt given and un helpful staff on the intercom. avoid at all costs. the UK government should hold their head in shame for allowing this nonsense with all the other costs drivers have to pay these days. what a complete rip-off! never again.
Ended up on first and last time not user friendly didn’t say it was cash free until your on it. I can see why it’s one of the emptiest roads I’ve been on total rip off and I can claim my money back on that note you have to p!ss around getting a receipt which isn’t available for 48 hour on another note Birmingham is a dump
The M6 toll empty for a reason! Turning a 30 million profit based on the disproportionate charges and is the most expensive toll road in the country at £9.70. M6 toll is more expensive then other toll routes around the UK by over 250%. The tag system "Breeze" offers a unmotivating 0.40p saving per charge. Thank you for the brief experience Midland Expressway ltd but hell no!
