I feel really ripped off. I paid 32.95€ for a mug. Today I received a message from a courier for Barton Croft in England telling me I will have you pay duty on my mug because it's being sent outside Britain. I also discovered that they charge 15£ for the same mug that I paided 32.95€ for.I thought I was buying an item from Europe so no duty. The postage you charged me was nearly 15€ on top of 32 .95€ now I have to pay duty!!!!!!WHAT A RIPP-OFF
This company has horrible customer service. I received a box of broken plates and it has been a nightmare trying to resolve this. I eventually just asked to be reimbursed and they are charging me for some of the plates and part of the shipping- as though I should have to pay shipping for an entire box of broken plates. Also- I have not been reimbursed yet, even though they said they did reimburse me. No one responds to my emails timely, I cannot get anyone to call me. This is the most unprofessional and disappointing experience I have ever had. Beware!!!!
I rarely leave negative reviews, but my experience with this retailer has been extremely disappointing .I contacted them to return some bowls outside their normal return window (in order to buy a different colour, as the wrong colour was purchased), and they explicitly agreed to accept the return. Based on that agreement, I repeatedly asked for return instructions — not once, but multiple times — and they simply ignored every request.Weeks later, they suddenly changed their position, claiming I was now outside the returns window (which they had already waived), and refused the return altogether. In other words - they strung me along, stalled for time, then used their own delay as a reason to deny the return.This is not just bad customer service — it’s dishonest, unprofessional, and untrustworthy.I gave them multiple opportunities to resolve the issue, including a formal complaint. They never replied. I haven't been able to return the bowls, and they haven't given me a refund.This has been a frustrating and disappointing experience, not just because of the outcome, but because of the lack of communication and consistency. A simple return address would have resolved this easily, but instead I have been left chasing for months, and still have no resolution.
Maison Flâneur sells wonderful items for the home and I’m thrilled with my beautiful cushion that is just perfect for my sitting room. Their customer service team is excellent, efficient, helpful and friendly. I’d happily buy again from Maison Flâneur.
