Scam driver

It's a scam driver! I was over charged & called customer service the first lady was no help. Called back the second lady was better & helpful & filed a scam report so the driver would NO longer deliver. I had 3 different prices, Mariano's had one amount, my email had another & my bank account was the highest & I got charged for items that I didn't even have on my list, i went to the store I pick & was told it wasn't there driver b/c that location doesn't have one,(then why the App didn't tell me, so in the garbage everything went at the store) scam drivers. Never again will I use home delivery from Mariano's.Now this app won't let me use the right date, it keeps changing it. Saturday October 15th, 2022

Ritual Zero Proof at Mariano's

I'm so excited to see that Mariano's is now offering Ritual Zero Proof products!! It's so great to see the inclusion of non alcoholic sprits and brands. Ritual's zero-proof tequila is my absolute favorite non alcoholic spirit, I'm so glad that I can stock up when I'm grocery shopping at Mariano's!

Today I visited Mariano's in Arlington…

Today I visited Mariano's in Arlington Heights, IL on Golf Rd. First, I was only there to get a seeded watermelon and some seeded grapes. I had called prior to going and someone who worked in the produce dept told me on the phone that they had those items with seeds out on the shelf. NOT!!!! Secondly, I noticed that they had a fresh juice area, I thought no seeded fruits I'll get me fresh juice. I ordered a Geen Detox smoothie/juice. Anyway, long story short the young Indian lady that was servicing me made the juice and she filled the cup up as much as possible and there was plenty left over. I said to her, "Can you put the remaining juice in a smaller cup, and I'll pay for it." She says very quickly, I'm not giving you that for free!" I proceeded to say, "I didn't ask for it for free I'm willing to pay for it instead of it going to waste." I believe she repeated that racist comment as though all black people want free handouts. I was applauded and pissed all at the same time. Prior to that, the spirit had me praying, Thank God because I could have become the typical angry black woman that most black women are labeled as, But again God!! She wasted nearly a half cup of fresh juice because she made too much. So wasteful was my thinking I could buy the extra instead of it going down the drain. Racist, Racist, Racist, yes I'm pulling that card because that's exactly what it was. There was a much better way of saying, sorry we just toss fresh juice down the sink! So disappointing on Mariano's part because they could at least put the juice in very small containers for their shoppers to enjoy instead of tossing fresh juice. But who am I but a Black woman shopping!! Back to that racist comment, I wish I knew her name. Thirdly, Dealing with the public, especially in a grocery store where only God knows who going to shop there you would think that Racist people would leave their Racist comments and attitudes at home. What a horrible experience for my first time shopping at such a well-known grocery store!!

Marianos has Achieved the Worst Grocery of Chicagoland

Mariano's should just hire more people and dilute the stress on their overworked staff who are juggling multiple jobs. Also consider hiring competent chat/customer services. Attempt not to work with instacart since it is loaded with instacriminals, who in my experience, have ran off with my groceries, 2 out of 2 times I used them in 2021. This company started off good enough to basically make Dominics go bankrupt and Jewel to overhaul their entire stock and stlye... then Marianos went down to 0 quality in 2021/2022 in every way relative to their comeptitors and I have not been back ever since. Happy to have boycotted the currently lowest standards of service and stock selections of Chicago.

Horrible customer service and…

Horrible customer service and misrepresentation of prices:Mariano’s had packages of chicken thighs marked with a big yellow sticker with red print-$1.99. I thought this is a great deal. I will grab 2. When checking out I noticed I was charged $6.33 each. When I inquired about it I was told the price was $1.99 PER POUND. When I said the sticker price did not indicate that, the cashier told me that on the back it says this. It was printed very small. Went to customer service desk to inquire about why the huge sticker on the front does not indicate “per pound” and the woman, Vivian, told me that anyone with common sense would look on the back and figure it out. I told her I wanted my $ back, this was a shoddy way to mark packages, and her comments were insulting because as a consumer how am I supposed to know to “look on the back” when it is clearly marked in the front! She stormed off and said she would not wait on me. I had to wait for another person to come and refund my money. Needless to say, Mariano’s and Kroger have lost my business. There are too many other grocery stores to bother with this company who treats their customers with such disrespect. Also, Vivian should not be working in customer service if she cannot speak to people respectfully.

The Naperville (Market Meadows) branch

The Naperville (Market Meadows) branch does not enforce wearing masks. Several employees are either not wearing them or are wearing them incorrectly. The # of customers not wearing masks continues to grow by the week. My most recent visit on 12/18/2021 was the worst. On my way out on saw an employee with a "manager" badge who was not wearing a mask which is likely the issue. When management clearly doesnt take this seriously, employees and customers certainly won't. I'd recommend staying away if you are uncomfortable going someplace where there are several unmasked people in the building.
