I recently booked a ticket through the Martigo website and had a very frustrating experience. After making the booking, the money was immediately deducted from my account, but I never received a confirmation or the actual ticket in my email. Later, the agency called me, explaining that the ticket price had gone up and I’d have to either pay the difference or request a refund.I was informed that the refund could take up to two business days, depending on my bank. Given that I booked on a Friday, this meant that I’d have to wait through the weekend and only potentially see the money back midweek at best. This delay created a massive inconvenience because, in the meantime, I couldn't rebook with another agency until I received the full refund risking further price increases. I felt like I was being penalized for an error on their end.I expressed my dissatisfaction to the customer service agent, explaining that I had originally chosen them over other agencies with similar prices. Now, either way, I'd be paying more than planned due to their mistake—this feels like daylight robbery! Whether I waited for the refund or paid the additional cost, I was put in a catch-22 with only two unsatisfactory options: wait with uncertainty for an immediate refund or pay more.To make matters worse, the agent left me on hold, likely to consult with a superior, but only came back with the same response. They "presumed" the money would be returned quickly but couldn't give a definite answer. This experience felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic, where they advertise one price to get bookings and then later have customers pay extra due to "price increase."Overall, I’m extremely disappointed and would caution anyone considering booking with Martigo. This kind of service is unacceptable, and I hope they address their booking processes to prevent future inconveniences for customers.
DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH THIS COMPANY!Paid £6000 for flights to Japan 3 months ago and cancelled the day of the booking as we found a better price elsewhere. That's not the problem though, the problem is getting my money back has since proven utterly impossible with this scam company.They ask you for your IBAN/BIC/Bank info in order to process the refund, tell you to wait 14days... nothing.Then you email/ring them and ask them where is the refund. They ask you for the same IBAN/BIC again!Repeat. Again & again & again they ask you for the same info over and over. No matter how many times I've given them the info they seem unable to refund, claiming it's bounced with the bank or someone didn't fill in the form correctly on there side. Always an excuse, meawhile it's 3month later for me and i'm still £6k down, You have no ability to contact their accounts team at all to even verify they exist. I've called them again today and guess what? They asked for my IBAN/BIC again.Do yourself a favour, never use this company, run, run far awayEDIT: 12th November - I am now taking them to small claims court for my money back, will update as the case progresses.EDIT: 3rd Feb 2025 - Update: I received the money back after direct intervention from MartiGo CEO Yunus Yokus. Money was refunded from a holding account from another company that has since dissolved. I was also offered a 15 Euro discount for any further bookings via this company...
Mark was an amazing support representative!I booked a flight from Copenhagen to Portland, Oregon (in the USA). There was an error during booking and the seats that I'd chosen were not actually available.I was promptly called by Mark who helped me book on a flight leaving at the same time and getting to my destination only an hour later. Thank you!
I took the Google Flights recomendation to bookthrough MartiGo for an AegeanA ir lfight from Athens to Rome on the 28th of Spetmeber. I paid the amount on MAStercard and was givena confirmation and ticket number. It tunred out to be useless. I could not check in online and at the Atnehs ariport was told the ticket had been cancelled. Never saw it refunded though and never heard about the cancelleaiton... Result I had to by a last mintue ticlet for 600 Euros on the day and was lucjky to get it! No useful reply (in German or in Enlgish). BE VERY CAREFUL AND DON'T USE THEM. Im disappointed that Google would recomend them.
Our flight was cancelled, and we were quite anxious about it. However, we wrote to MartiGo and they promptly responded, offering an alternative flight or a full refund. They processed our request fastly and kindly, and Cherrie from customer service helped us with it. We realy apprecite this wonderful experience.
