Review Time
This site has a LOT of mixed reviews. Not only on trustpilot but also by individuals on Reddit and other casual websites. I enjoy leaving a proper review when i feel it's necessary (which isn't often) and i want to share what i found about MartiGo:The site itself is pleasant to go through. Paying for the flight was easy and i didn't have any difficulties. Customer support responds decently fast and there is 24/7 support.I ordered a trip to Bali through MartiGo. It was a good deal but unfortunately i wouldn't be able to go so i had to cancel it.Buying the flight: I read about people not even receiving an itinerary or confirmation. This was not the case in my experience. I received a confirmation right away and an itinerary the day after. I contacted the airlines that were arranging my flights as well to confirm that my reservation has reached them too. They did. I asked this because i read about someone receiving their itinerary but it not being confirmed by other airlines. I experienced no issues ordering my flight nor contacting customer support. Customer support was very helpful and fast. I don't know what happened with the other people and their bad experiences with their customer support staff.Cancelling the flight:Here is where the missing star comes in. I read on the website that, against a service fee of 25 bucks, i can cancel my flight. I was looking out for this since it wasn't sure if i can make the flight yet.Again i had no issue contacting support. I was able to do this via phone call, email, and whatsapp (i used all of them haha)They told me at first that it was gonna cost about 200 bucks in fees to cancel my flight.. i was quite surprised by this and told them this also. After mentioning it, i received a response to my mail saying that, because of a change in times for my flights, im eligable for a full refund. I thought i had the cancellation fees covered but i guess i missed something? So be careful and look for some kind of coverage for cancellations. I recommend contacting support via whatsapp or email before ordering your flight. I will still ask about an explanation for the 200 bucks in fees and will update the review accordingly
I was cautious about using Martigo after reading other reviews but the price was significantly lower than others and we are on a budget. After booking a trip with several connecting flights and different airlines, I discovered one of them expected payment for selecting seats. I had already chosen a higher ticket price to be able to select seats. I called Martigo and the operators were polite but couldn’t help. I asked for a manager and got Mark who said he would investigate. One of my flights did not include seat selection but Mark discovered that (as I had pointed out) this was not mentioned when booking so Martigo covered the cost with the airline. I would have given 5 stars but I did have to speak to 2 operators and be quite persistent with the complaint but I was very pleased with the outcome and service in the end.
I specifically booked the amendable and flexible ticket as I knew some changes might happen. Somehow, even though I still can’t find any writing confirming this, they are trying to tell me that the cancellation fees are more than the $550 USD per ticket that I paid. Have never heard of a cancellation fee being over $550 USD per passenger - ludicrous
Just booked a flight from Madrid to Lima in business. Within 5 minutes a got the confirmation and checked it back with Latam Airlines. Everything perfect! Andy Camacho was very efficient and professional. I did not know this online travel agency before but can only recommend MartiGo.
INCOMPETENT, DISHONEST, AND COMPLETELY UNRELIABLEMartigo handled my booking with COMPLETE NEGLIGENCE. I booked a flight from Cairo to Ho Chi Minh City and discovered that my first FLIGHT HAD BEEN CANCELLED only on the day of travel, whilst trying to check in — NO PRIOR EMAIL, NO NOTICE, no communication whatsoever. They later claimed they had rebooked me on an alternative route, but that itinerary was COMPLETELY UNUSABLE, with the first flight arriving AFTER THE CONNECTING FLIGHT HAD ALREADY DEPARTED.When I contacted them, they insisted they had sent an email with the updated details. But the so-called “proof” they provided, WHICH I NEVER RECEIVED, showed the email was sent 2 DAYS BEFORE I EVEN BOOKED THE TICKET — which is impossible! I asked for clarification multiple times, and instead of acknowledging the obvious error, they kept repeating the same scripted line: “We have sent this before,” ignoring how CLEARLY FALSE AND MISLEADING their information was.They refunded the original ticket, but REFUSED TO COMPENSATE me for the expensive, last-minute flight I had to buy because of their FAILURE TO COMMUNICATE and correct their mistake. The way they handled this was not only UNPROFESSIONAL, but completely dismissive and DISRESPECTFUL.Martigo is UNRELIABLE, evasive and takes zero responsibility for their actions. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
