Took car of everything in less than a day!

After the check engine light came on in my car last week (10/11/20) , I took it to the dealership for diagnosis and repair. The dealership advised I had a defective oxygen sensor and a hole in the exhaust. However, they did not have the proper part to fix the problem and suggested I try their exhaust shop. This was on 10/17/20. The shop in question was not open until Monday. I decided instead to give Meineke a try as I knew the name from TV and radio ads. Not only was I able to bring my car in that, but the shop (located at 970 E Parham Rd in Richmond,VA) had me diagnosed within 4 hours and completed the repair the same day. When they called to inform me my car was ready, it was shortly before they closed for the day. But rather than make me wait, the associate, a wonderful man named Keith, took my payment over the phone and then advised my invoice and keys would be locked inside the car and I could pick it up at my convenience. I did so on Sunday 10/18 and the car is working just fine now. Meineke did a great job and I was very impressed how quickly everything was done. Plus, they found out the oxygen sensor was fine, it was just the issue with the exhaust itself that needed to be fixed. When I need car care again, I will likely be skipping the dealership and using Meineke's services again.

Be afraid - Be Very Afraid!

My middle-age daughter took her Chevy to the shop on W. Craig Rd - she told them the problem - they fixed it. The quote was $50 more than Goodyear/Superior at Oso Blanco in Centennial Hills but we let Meineke do the work anyhow. Then I took in my Jeep Liberty - again, a little higher repair quote but OK, just get it done, right? And I gave a very good review for that experience.THEN...my 18 year old granddaughter takes in her 2017 CERTIFIED Nissan Sentra that I bought July 4th 2020 - they charged her $80 for an oil change! --And, then they "found a torque problem" and they quoted her almost $800 to fix this "problem"for a car still under Warranty...needless to say, I had already prepped her about PREDATOR REPAIR SHOPS. She negotiated the $80 oil change - they gave her a $20 discount - so it cost $60. Then she jumped in her CERTIFIED car and drove off -- I hope they got a good look at all 3 of our cars when we drove away - they will never see them again! Be afraid people - Be Very Afraid!

This review is for the Meineke repair…

This review is for the Meineke repair shop on 5970 Scarborough Blvd in Columbus Ohio. Anthony has now worked on both of my cars each time given amazing service and price for all the repair. Always feel welcome and inviting when at the shop. We all know what a stress it is to have to take your car in for service, even simple oil changes turn into something major. Not here, was walked though each repair step by step, the cost was laid out and never once felt like i was being lied too or mislead like may other repair centers. Have sent friends and family there knowing Anthony will be honest and to take advantage of them. A real and trusted business with amazing people working here. Thanks Tony.

This is an honest review from an ACTUAL…

This is an honest review from an ACTUAL customer. They had been pretty good but I took my van in for a check engine light diagnostic and was told that there were some vacuum hoses that needed repairing. I was told 1 hour for labor and $20.00 for parts so I was happy that that is all it was. The bill ended up being $203.00 because $55.00 was billed for shop supplies. I wasn't told about the shop supplies charge when I okayed the work. I was informed by someone else that that charge is unrealistic. Especially for changing a few vacuum hoses. When I left with the van, it ran good but less than 3 miles later it started to run rough again and the check engine light came back on. When I called them I was told that "we will have to go deeper with the diagnostic, we might need to change out the charcoal canister." Well supposedly the vacuum lines is all it needed but now it needs a deeper diagnostic?! It might need a charcoal canister?! I got work to do, I shouldn't have to bring my van in again. They had it for a day and a half and if they would have driven it or let it idle long enough they would have realized that it wasn't entirely what they told me it was. Now what, are they gonna charge me another $55.00 for this next visit in addition to whatever may or may not be a resolution to the problem? My gut instinct was to take it to Randy's Downtown Garage but Meineke is where my ignition interlock was installed and calibrated so it would be easier to have them also do the other work.

Charged for work not performed

Charged for work not performed, advised getting work that wasn't needed, and their 1-800 customer service number doesn't return phone calls.

I am sooo frustrated

I am sooo frustrated! I love this shop and normally they do a good job. I went to them to get my car window up and they stated that I needed a power switch for it. Anyway they fixed it but the panel would not go back in. I went back and told. them to please fix it. They put it back in but as soon as I went over a bump, it popped out again. This time frustration sets in and I say to he'll with it. Then today I go in for inspection and they tell me they can't get my Windows up and I need another power switch. I told them they broke it, they fix it. They offered 20% off that's all! I feel they should replace it for free especially when they broke it! I just want them to fix it

Absolute worst service ever

Absolute worst service ever! Went there for AC service (was blowing hot air). The original quote was 135 dollars. Once I got there, I paid $251 only to learn it was just a deposit towards all of the other stuff they found wrong that had nothing to do with AC. They quoted an extra $350 I explained no additional money to fix other problems. My daughter and I waited 4 hrs after we got off work for AC Services. When we finally thought AC was fixed; the guy came out with other unrelated problems and more charges (tires and wheel barrons). I had just replaced tires before I took vehicle to them. What part of....I only want AC to blow cold air he didn't understand? I told him that i have been there all day. I'm tired and ready to go home. He quickly refunded all my money stating I declined services. Before we got home ( abt. 3 miles from Meineke), the vehicle ran hot in which it never ran hot before we took it there.
