Ripped off

I went to Meineke last week for a leak in my tire. Turns out my valve stem was leaking. I have sensors in my tires for tire pressure. The sensor screws to the bottom of the valve stem inside the tire. I was told it would not be cheap. The sensor would have to be replaced. They found the old one and said it is an OEM part. That means original manufacturer part. Because it was old they would not be able to replace the valve stem. I asked him for the old sensor and before he handed it to me he looked at it and said it was a Michelin sensor and they don't make them anymore. I didn't have my glasses so I couldn't read it.Before I knew it the new sensor was there. I agreed to the fix because I was told it was my only option. After it was done they tried connecting the sensor to my cars computer for almost and hour. He said one of the sensors would not connect because it was a generic sensor ******* installed. I had been there almost an hour and a half. I had to go back to work. So I told him to connectt the other 3 and I will deal with the last one at ******** When I finally drove away I notice non of the sensors where connected and now I had several lights on for service ingine and check TPS sensors. I was upset so When I got back to work I got mt glasses on and looked up the part number on it for a valve stem. The first one that popped up was from autozone for $7. The same place they nought the new sensor from. I called auto zone and they confirmed it was the correct part and the shop should have known it could be replaced. I was told meineke does that all the time to people to over charge for parts you don't need. I called corporate and they have not done much. The shop manager called and asked me to bring it back in and I laughed. I waisted to much time and money plus I don't want to be in the position when they have my car taken apart and tell me they can't fix it till I pay more. They seem very sketchy. Looks like we are going to court

Mess at Meineke in Boulder Colorado. First of all when my friend made an…

First of all when my friend made an appointment to have the oil change done the weekend was booked so she set an appointment for the following Monday. When dropping the car off they had no log of the appt. So the manager confirmed that the appointment setter who took the did indeed work there and said, no problem we'll squeeze it in today should be done by 3 maybe 4pm at most. We'll call you when its done. Come 5pm still no call so i call the shop and they say that car is not there and they have no keys there for it either so I walked back to Meineke to find out what was up. By then the keys turned up but the car had no work done to it, though it was moved from where I parked it and it was sitting there unlocked with a/c on full blast (not the way I left it) and the radio was blasting also not the way I left it. I must wonder if my car was used for a joy ride or to pick up parts or some other unauthorized activity, because it was moved and who turns on the the AC the radio and leaves it unlocked and no work was done in the 4.5hrs it was there.

Damaged my vehicle and tried to hide it

Meineke in N. Las Vegas damaged my front wheel while repairing the brakes and did not tell me. They sent me out on the road with the damage. I had to stop many times to add oil to the hub to avoid overheating. I contacted their head office but they will not reply. I was put in an extremely dangerous situation and could have had a very serious accident had I not found the damage.

Fix or pay to Fix

Just wow! I have never had a worse experience with my vehicle ever! Sell me something I don't need like its an everyday thing to change a valve cover gasket. Then when it goes wrong you don't know what to do, or how to fix it? Leave the work to the real mechanics. Will not be back! Oh and when you try to call to get a problem fixed on the corporate level it rings and rings and rings and then hangs up. Thanks, and buyers BEWARE

How to effortlessly and successfully parlay, what would have been, a 5-star review into a 1-star rev

The ideal once known as "customer service" continues to erode. I find myself taking on the role of roving reporter, providing commentary on the beleaguered treatment of consumers by businesses that should only exist to provide a quality, in-demand product or a service to repeat customers.I selected Meineke store #4184 in Atlanta, Georgia for an oil change. I had a valid coupon from the Meineke website that was specific to the exact Meineke location I chose. I made an appointment and arrived a couple of minutes early. The counter employee greeted me promptly. I showed the counter employee the Meineke coupon. The employee told me he would not honor the coupon. He provided a variety of excuses for why the coupon would not be accepted. The explanations ranged from the recent, unexpected surge in the price of oil, to the store didn't have any conventional motor oil on hand. The employee also offered up the admonition about an individual Mieneke franchise owner having sole discretion to accept or not accept Meieneke coupons.I responded by making the point that if a particular Meineke store is not going to accept a widely advertised website coupon, the coupons should have been removed from store's page on the Meineke website. Additionally, any oversight stemming from misinformation on the Meineke website should never be considered the customer's fault. The counter employee wasn't budging and provided me with the full price on a higher end oil change. I reluctantly accepted the price hike, having taken the time, trouble and expense to drive to this Meineke location. I straightforwardly let the employee know that I would inform Meineke corporate about the website discrepancy so that the online coupons could be deleted or amended. That's when the employee let me know, in no uncertain terms, that if I was going to involve the corporate office that I was free to take my business elsewhere. I should have done so.After the service on my automobile was complete, I called another Meineke shop out of curiosity. I provided the employee that answered the phone at the other Meineke location with the details of the online coupon I had. The employee said he would honor the online offer without question. For the previous week I have made dozens of phone calls to Meineke customer service but no one picks up the phone.I also emailed the CEO of Driven Brands. No response.

***DANGEROUS*** Took my truck for repairs and they did NOT tighten my lug nuts. Wheel could have come off and killed myself or someone else. Didn't notice anything on the drive home, but as soon I left the house soon after, it started to make awful noises. Immediately took it the closest shop and sure enough lug nuts completely loose. If my wife had been driving, she may not have noticed and definitely could have caused a serious accident. Called the store to let them know what happened, went in the next day to talk with Steve the manager, agreed to do a refund of $550 for the work done. Two weeks later, NO REFUND. Finally talked to Jeff, regional manager, he refused to do the refund after it was already offered by Steve. Absolutely ridiculous. Will be waiting to hear from someone at the corporate offices.

Saturday 1/29/2022 I took my Honda…

Saturday 1/29/2022 I took my Honda Pilot for a scheduled Bank 1 Catalytic Sensor change. Dave the manager, called me at about 1pm to say that it was ready. When I got there, Dave was not, so I paid another worker/mechanic the $1100.00 with my card. He gave me the receipt and keys and said bye. It was strange but I went and started the vehicle. The check engine light was no longer on, but a yellow triangle light with an exclamation mark was on the dash. I then went back in the office but no one was there. The same guy was now standing to the back of the yard when I came out staring down at me. I called his attention, but when he came he said “we fixed your issue and we have nothing to do with that other light”. He also said I should speak to Dave who went to test drive another car. When Dave returned he said the same thing!! He also called the mechanic who changed the sensor to show me where the vehicle’s main computer was located in the engine and amazingly said that BOTH lights were on when I brought it in-a blunt lie. They absolutely refused to do any checks, advise me if it was safe to even drive it home, or take ANY responsibility for this new light. These people are masquerading as mechanics, while being rude and disrespectful to the unknown paying public. I’m in contact with the BBB and my attorney. Also note I called their Corporate Office who took note and next day called to say they cannot do anything about it. Fellow citizens Please be aware and go to Dave and his rude nasty thieves at your own risk. Rick Phillips

I took my folks car to meineke for a muffler noise. They took it to the garage to put it up on a rack. To check it out. They gave me an estimate for a whole bunch of stuff. Luckily a guy there came up to me outside and told me. To go to a local guy that's really good and honest. I really thought that the Meineke guy was being honest. $600.00 is what they wanted. I went to Garys Muffler. He laughed when I told him I had gone to Meineke. He told me it was a little piece of pipe and he could fix it while I waited. The cost was $130.00 tax and everything. So shame on you Meineke for being so dishonest. That is so wrong. My folks are in their 80's and aren't rich. They don't care. I told my parents not to never ever go back to your shop. How in the Hell do you stay in business.

How did the noise and the plastic bag…

How did the noise and the plastic bag show up in my A/C duct, while my car was being serviced ?I visited Meineke #1136 on 3515 FM 1960 East, Humble (Near Old McDonalds )AUTO SHOP (281) 973-47423515 FM 1960 East, Humble, TX 77338-5320 to check my A/C and was told I need to replace my A/C which I allowed them to do. I drove out my car with the A/C blowing cooler but just not right, I drove it for the next two days. When I picked up a friend who had the same response to the A/C not blowing cool enough, I took it back to Meineke. I suggested, they check the cabin filter, they did and removed a very filthy filter. And did some further adjustments. The car was now blowing just right. While still parked at Meineke, I tested the A/C dial at 3 and 4 it was making a really, really loud noise. Which it wasn’t doing before. I brought this to their attention immediately. I was told when the new cabin filter goes in the noise will stop, but it didn’t. So, on that day, I drove into #1136 on 3515 FM 1960 East, Humble , TX 77338-5320 without this noise and drove out with the noise. I took the vehicle back to Meineke and they put a camera through the cabin filter and called me to show me a plastic bag, caught in it. They now wanted to remove the entire dash and remove the plastic bag and charge me a new charge for this. How did the noise and the plastic bag show up while my car was being serviced ?
