Versatile and easy to apply!

Love, love, love the shade slick, minimalist stick, and day glow (which I can use on my checks, eyelids, and lips)! The free signature bag is great for travel and even at home for sitting down to do my makeup. My favorite thing is that the signature stick a d day glow are easy to apply without pulling on your skin and they don’t leave any lines or become uneven within skin wrinkles.

When it’s good it’s good, when it’s bad it’s awful.

Bad points -- instant glow serum. Really odd and oily texture. Used anyway as directed in case it impacted how the rest of the make up sits. Felt like I needed a good wash after use.- the minimalist. I wanted to love this. I really did. I love a “no make up” look, and was well and truly fooled by the online hype. It blends awfully, either with a blender, or the merit brush. It’s made my skin look dry and clumpy, which is frankly a miracle as I have oily skin, and the oily “instant glow” serum on. Didn’t work well as a concealer in any event. Had to apply a lot to get any form of coverage, which really defies the point of a no makeup look which is supposed to be fast. It’s also much smaller than you’d expect for the price. With the amount you have to use, it won’t last long.- the brush. Just awful. Don’t waste your money. Damp beauty blender far more effective.Mid points- day glow highlighting balm. In the mirror, this gives a subtle glow. In a camera, it’s awful. Really over the top oily looking shine. Possibly ok for out and about, but can imagine it would ruin all your pictures of a special occupation.Volumising brow promade - not awful, not great. Brushed out brows, but not much hold. Made brows look negligibly fuller, but will still need additional product. Far better options at a far lower price point. Good points - clean lash mascara. I actually really liked this, as it gave a nice defined natural lash look. Didn’t make them look stiff or spindly. It is quite runny, so there’s quite a bit of transfer when wet, but easily came off with a dry cotton bud.- flush balm. I really liked this, but it is VERY subtle. As a no makeup person, that suits me fine. When it first goes on, it’s very bold, but quickly fades. If you like a rosy cheek, it’s probably not for you. I used shade cheeky, and it suited my fair complexion very nicely.- signature lip in baby. Liked the colour. Has a feel of Charlotte tilbury pillow talk about it, but at the price point, why not just buy Charlotte tilbury? It’s quite Matt, so I added a couple dabs of… -tinted lip oil, au natural which gave a bit of moisture and a hint of shine. Looks nice. But the shade does bring out the yellow in my teeth (and I’m a shade a1).Bronze balm in quince - quite liked this. The stick format made it easy to apply, and it does the job. Bit hard to blend out, and took longer than I’d usually want to bother with.OverallHave I found a one brand routine? No. The disappointing products are far too expensive for me to not be feeling ripped off. I’ve fallen victim to online influencer hype to the tune of about £250. Bought as vegan and cruelty free is a must for me, but at this price point, charlotte tilbury is a far better option.I also don’t like that they have no colour samples. Sending a picture is not the same as trying on your skin in natural light. At the amount the charge I refuse to believe they can’t shoulder some 0.5ml sample sachets to try out colour.I might buy some of the products again, but just as likely that I won’t.Not the worst experience, but far from the best.Wanted to add a picture as applied - but no function to do that here.

Glossiest Older Sister

Love the little baggy their makeup comes in. Feels like an adult version of glossier but clean/also better quality. It’s perfect for on the go.

Unfortunately fell for the hype again

Unfortunately fell for the hype again, not impressed with merit mascara, like a really cheap brand, watery and dreadful and their blush was not much better either. Such a waste of money 🤦‍♀️

So sad to say I’ve been disappointed so…

So sad to say I’ve been disappointed so far. I really wanted to love this brand but… it just isn’t great and for the price point it just hasn’t lived up to expectations. Starting with the serum - it’s just really strange. It has the consistency of water but it comes in a pump bottle. When you use it it just sprays everywhere and any that lands on your fingertips just drizzles down your hand and wrist so you can’t actually apply it without wasting most of it. When I tried to use it again this morning (trying to use it so it’s not a complete waste of money) I noticed that it had somehow leaked all over my desk. When it’s applied it has an odd sheen to it, almost like a layer of glitter and when you touch your face your fingers come away with this highlighter effect. I don’t know what else to say it was just strange and it stays sticky on your face. It just doesn’t seem to sink in. The minimalist is nothing extraordinary. It’s sold as a replacement for concealer and foundation for a minimalist look. In my experience it goes on just like any other concealer but it’s also super cakey around the mouth which is something I’ve never experienced from a foundation or a concealer. It also doesn’t cover blemishes but rather coats them and yet you can still see the redness. There isn’t much more to it and the stick is much smaller than expected although maybe my fault for not looking at measurements/volume? The colour was fairly nice, a bit too orangey and I was recommended the lightest shade but I find that’s pretty common with concealers. The highlighter stick and the contour stick are nice and the shades are lovely but there is absolutely no lasting power to these. They sink into your skin and are lost very very quickly. The blush again was very nice with a lovely colour but same issue it just seems to melt into your skin and the colour is lost. I have now tried the mascara and the eyebrow gel and sadly more of the same. The mascara wand is lovely but it does nothing for your eyelashes. It’s not even as if you could say it looks more natural because it’s very obvious you have mascara on. It just doesn’t look like it gives any volume or length. The eyebrow gel literally did nothing. I heavily applied this and other than brushing them, there was no other effect. I then brushed it on my hand and - nothing? Is the tube empty? Has it dried up in transit? I have no idea but I genuinely received a tube of air so this was shocking. I would say for the price point that it is ridiculous but I’ve had £4 eyebrow gels that have worked a million times better and actually contained the product you paid for so this was probably my second biggest disappointment. I have tried the lip oil and whilst this goes on beautifully and looks and feels gorgeous it didn’t last at all. After 20 minutes the oil had disappeared and it had to be reapplied. Oddly, the colour stays and goes very patchy over time so whilst the initial application is fantastic, in my opinion it just isn’t worth it. Overall I have been quite disappointed with the products. They aren’t terrible by any stretch (although the serum is hard pass from me and the eyebrow gel had me completely confused) but they just didn’t have anything special about them and they wear off much quicker than they should. For this price point you will be constantly reapplying your make up and wasting a lot of product so sadly I would not look to repurchase. In terms of delivery this actually came a lot quicker than expected however there was an issue with the delivery company because the invoices supplied by Merit were incorrect which resulted in me having to evidence the value of each individual item in the parcel before they could release it. Obviously this is all based on my own personal experience and I am sure that some people will love these products unfortunately they are not for me. I cannot comment on the customer service element as I haven’t spoken with them. Unfortunately I saw no reason to contact them for being generally disappointed with the quality of their products. Hopefully this review helps others who are on the fence because I truly wish I had read the reviews before purchasing.
