Painful software to deal with. Below is my experience with their most notirious software:Outlook: Microsoft Outlook’s security features are overly restrictive, causing inefficiencies and wasting user time. The email platform lacks user-friendly functionality, making it frustrating to navigate and manage.Skype: Skype’s account termination process is unnecessarily difficult, preventing users from easily closing their accounts. Privacy concerns arise due to its persistent data retention, leaving users feeling trapped and unsupported.Windows 10: Windows 10 overwhelms users with frequent, intrusive updates and security alerts, disrupting workflows. One update displaced personal files and organization to prioritize new Windows apps, compromising user privacy and data integrity.OneNote: OneNote excels in organization, allowing endless subfolders for research and writing, surpassing competitors like Evernote. However, its syncing is unreliable, with persistent errors across devices. Notebook management is cumbersome, requiring website access to rename or delete, and the search function is ineffective, lacking section-specific search capabilities.Microsoft Security: Microsoft’s security protocols are excessively rigid, blocking email access from different locations, such as when traveling. This creates significant user frustration and highlights a lack of adaptability.Windows OS: Windows is cluttered with confusing, poorly named files like “MSVCP100,” creating a chaotic user experience compared to Apple’s clean, intuitive OS. Running programs often triggers errors due to missing files, with no clear resolution path. The abundance of obscurely named files (e.g., “234iywekrjh382e”) confuses users and complicates troubleshooting. Customer support is nearly inaccessible, leaving users without assistance for critical issues like the “MSVCP100” error, which prevents program functionality.Microsoft’s products, while powerful, suffer from poor UX, inadequate support, and selfish design choices that prioritize system complexity over customer needs.
Microsoft’s handling of the OneDrive issue—where shared folders are syncing as internet shortcuts instead of real folders—is nothing short of a disgrace. Users like myself have wasted countless hours trying to fix what we assumed was a configuration or local problem, only to eventually stumble across scattered posts in Microsoft forums filled with thousands of confused users all experiencing the same thing. What makes it worse is Microsoft’s complete lack of transparency. There’s no official communication, no status update, no warning—just a vague, buried response saying, "We are aware and working on the issue." That’s not good enough.Instead of being upfront with customers, Microsoft chose silence—leaving people scrambling, wasting time, and guessing at workarounds for a serious functionality problem. This is not just poor customer service; it’s actively deceptive. If you’re going to break core features like folder syncing, the least you can do is notify your users openly and promptly. This experience has deeply eroded my trust in Microsoft’s commitment to its users.
Since Microsoft got a hold of Skype, I faced everything bad from cheating, sudden price increase for unjustified reason to loosing my phone number that I had for years and Microsoft or their staff don't care for its clients' losses. I was a customer of Skype for years but they took away my number just because they were closing down, but they didn't allow to transfer my number because their Teams software is useless and lack important features. Even after upgrading, it was not showing call option or number management to my country while I was using it with Skype for years. Short lesson: don't trust Microsoft at all. If they buy something, then start finding an alternative of that service before it is too late.
This damned bad app doesn't even let me type in my password because of "internet" im already using it and it shows and it doesn't it's your fault because you made it show that it works i can't login normally if i lose my email im going to lose everything so i hope whoever created this system evaporates from reality
With Microsoft I have an amazing time surfing the meteverse over the internet with comfortable and trustworthy experiences. When installing windows Microsoft was there for me every step of the way, their customer service was very respectable. It makes a difference in my life, Microsoft did stunningly well at helping mitigate a mistake or print a document. In my experiences with Microsoft's marvelous digital technology, Microsoft opens doors to new heights of scientific discovery, to give a helping hand, or to create and share. In my opinion, Microsoft's nature is worthy, professional, friendly, and driven. The possibilities seem endless with Microsoft. This concludes my review of my experience with Microsoft.
Microsoft has too big a market share, hence they can bully users to buy a new computer, when they can't upgrade to their computers to windows 11, as MSFT is about to retire their only other version Windows 10. It is a disgrace that they have decided to retire Windows 10. It shows it is all about the money. I am fed up with MSFT and have moved on to Linux based operating system. It is time that people are putting MSFT under pressure. Also, the £99.00 annually price tag for Office 365 is a rip off. There are plenty of FREE products out there that work just as good. I hope many other people will start abandoning MSFT, they are an expensive disgrace!
