OneNote Disaster: A Cautionary TaleI'm writing this review with a heavy heart and a deep sense of betrayal. OneNote, a product I once trusted to securely store my most important medical information, has failed me in the most catastrophic way.I've been using OneNote for years to meticulously document my health history, diagnoses, treatment plans, and medication records. I believed it was a safe and reliable digital repository. Unfortunately, I was gravely mistaken. One day, without warning, my OneNote notebook vanished. The entire collection of years' worth of vital medical information was gone. I was devastated. I contacted Microsoft support, hoping for a swift resolution. Instead, I was met with a series of unhelpful responses and endless loops. It became evident that Microsoft simply doesn't care about its users' data. They were more interested in deflecting blame and avoiding responsibility. The recovery process was a nightmare, and despite my best efforts, I was unable to retrieve a significant portion of my lost data. The damage caused by this loss is immeasurable. I've had to recreate years of medical records, which has been incredibly time-consuming and emotionally draining. The risk of missing critical details or making mistakes is a constant worry.I urge everyone to learn from my experience and avoid using OneNote for storing sensitive medical information. Microsoft has proven to be unreliable and unconcerned about its users' well-being. There are far more trustworthy and secure alternatives available.I will never trust Microsoft again, and I hope this review helps prevent others from falling victim to their negligence.
horrible costumer serviceI lost one of my microsoft accounts to a hacker and contacted support 3 times during the night of Saturday. I assumed they had the weekend off despite saying they'd respond in 24 hours. Monday comes and still nothing. It's Wednesday and I haven't heard anything back. I haven't left any emails since as I assumed 3 was far too many anyway. I am severally disappointed.
The person I was speaking with had very very poor English. I was on the phone with her for 30 minutes. She tried Quick Assist it did't work. She said I had no internet connection. Then she asked me if I could log in to Google. I told her that is how I got to load quick assist. She then said she would transfer me to tech support which she ended up hanging up. She obviously did not know how to transfrer a call. She also did not give me an incident number
I have had problems with this company. I have had many emails from them in the past few weeks, asking me to update my payment information. But my payment information was updated several weeks ago and is up to date. I have replied to their emails, giving them this information. But my replies have all been ignored. There is also some confusion about what my subscription is. Some messages from the company state that it is £1.99 per month, and others state that it is £5.99 per month. I find that I cannot access myaccount on their website, and I cannot contact them.My attempts to contact them by phone or email have been futile. This company appears to provide zerocustomer support.
Outlook Up-Grade, Not...! ! Here We Go Again….! ! ! Don’t Buy…! Don’t Buy…! Don’t Buy…! Another “forced” Outlook upgrade that they sell you as being better for you. NONSENSE…!! Completely un-true, especially if you are not an “Enterprise” user. They’re taking functionality away. And, the little Family Crew, like us have no support. Hours to find someone to speak with that you then spend 10% of your time trying to explain the problem, the other 50% is them interpreting the problem, and then starts the fix, if you’re lucky. How about we have a Congressmen, or Congresswomen get onto Microsoft’s support line, LIVE….. while in a Senate Hearing and broadcast the support call LIVE…..! !
I was invited by my daughter to look on Groupon.com to book a deal for the Bahamas and found this great deal for a life-time membership. What was so great about this deal was my membership was ending soon and I was paying over $100 a year for an earlier version of the same software. Since installing my new software (Microsoft Office 2021Business for MAC), I have really enjoyed using the app.
