As a company we have a number of O365 business accounts. This allows 1TB storage per user in OneDrive and also the use of Sharepoint. When purchased several years ago, we set up retention policies which work fine. The problem is in the past couple of months, Microsoft have removed the ability to manage retention polices unless you upgrade to Enterprise, double the cost per person! The problem is when items are deleted, they are retained in an unediable folder where they is kept in accordance to the policy. This is OK BUT this still comes out of your storage limit. So where our policy is for 5 years as recommended and as we process alot of data, these protected retention folders are now taking up ALL our data so OneDrive is now unusable for most users and Sharepoint, although 'empty' is over the 1TB limit! So we are paying for storage we now cant use, even Microsoft support said this is unreasonable and adviced us to upgrade to £33pm per person or move to a competitor! To remove the ability clear these protected folders so the product is unusable is surely illegal!!!
They kept taking $7.57 from my account every month. It was very hard to figure out why because when I would go to their site it would tell me I had an account with them under an email address that started with two letters, and when I would try to enter that email address, it would say I had no accounts. My account was under another email, which had no emails from microsoft confirming an order of any kind. They were sending me receipts to a DIFFERENT email that were going to spam. C'mon guys... Someone knew what they were doing to make it that tricky. I ended up trying to just chargeback the money and they apparently disputed it? I kept getting charged. They are the most desperate people I've ever encountered. I use mac now, I don't need or want anything from you. I will never give them my billing information again.
When I shop on line I see discounts for non-specific orders on Amazon, offered by Microsoft. TO date NONE, of the discounts advertised have worked to be applied to any of my orders! So I want to know: a) is it a scam to get a consumer to order more items? OR is it all JUST False advertising? Since again NONE of the discounts supposedly offered can be applied to any of my orders.
I have had so many bad expieriences with them. My Xbox needs to be fixed like every second day due to "Minor technical issues". Along with that, the quality for movies, video calls and stuff is awful. Microsoft 365 always takes ages to load. Very disapointing, Microsoft
My Microsoft Surface Pro 4 purchased in 2016 has just popped its screen due to the Lithium Ion battery swelling. Apparently a well known problem in the Microsoft customer forums for this and other models of the Surface. I am disappointed that I never received any communication/recall from Microsoft in respect of this well known issue as it is apparently a potential fire risk. I am picking up a new HP laptop on Saturday and will need to scrap the Surface Pro even though it is still working.
