Review Time
Seems like i'm not the only whose had to deal with these guys. I've just got a disbursement from block-fi and activated the card online. I can see the card, all the details yet it doesn't work anywhere! Called their UK help number and they couldn't verify my address and told me to get back in touch block-fi. Getting the run around from these guys, why isn't my card just working. And don't even think about transferring money out of the account, the 'Next' button doesn't work on the website either. So they've got $4k of my money and I can't access it!If they read this and sort this out, i'll change my review but for now i'm pissed, having to jump through hoops to get my money. Never had a problem with other pre-paid cards before.Update: Sent the details to trustview, don't have a reference number. Update 2 - 18 Mar: Got my address details confirmed, they want to know the state that I live in. For UK peeps, that's country, so England for me. Card was activated but still doesn't work anywhere. Back to waiting again...
I just want to provide my experience with this card center. I was awarded a small sum from a class action settlement and initially thought it was a scam email. After reading about the issues with myprepaidcenter.com on Trustpilot, I was certain it wasn't a scam email, but was apprehensive based on the reviews of how hard it is to get access to the funds. I went to the website by typing the address in my browser, rather than clicking the link just in case. I copy/pasted the redemption code, added my basic contact info, did a single slidey puzzle, and had a card and card number. I immediately went to Amazon, and did a transaction for a top up of gift card balance for $.01 less than the card total. Added the card info to Amazon, proceeded with the transaction, and it went through with no problem. Not 25 seconds later the Amazon purchase showed up on the transaction list on the myprepaidcenter.com website that I didn't need to create a login for as I just kept it open in a separate tab. I deleted the card as an option from Amazon, and now have access to the funds with no problem. I'm certain there are folks who've had issues with this site, but people also have issues with yahoo and ebay, so take it for what it is. It's not a scam site, and maybe in the past they've had issues, but my experience was top notch. I can't speak for what would happen if you don't do exactly as I do though.
Received a gift card as a bonus from my job. Was able to spend part of the balance, but then the card kept declining afterwards. Called customer service, they told me my card had been blocked, but that they would mail me a replacement. Waited a month and called again after not receiving anything. Another month passes, still nothing. Kept seeing online that this place is a scam. I'm honestly posting on here because I saw customer support responding to people and I'm hoping someone can help me out because I do not want to lose my remaining balance. Update 3/7: Blackhawk Network customer service reached out to me via email yesterday. I'm not sure if it was from this post as I also filled out a support ticket on BHN's website directly (they are the parent company of My Prepaid Center). Today support said they have issued a new replacement with expedited shipping. I will update again when I hopefully receive this card and can ensure that it is working. Update 3/12:Replacement card arrived today. It was sent via UPS next day air. Had the correct remaining balance. I immediately spent the entire balance on an Amazon gift card. Updated to 2 stars because at least their parent company was able to fix my problem. Contact Blackhawk Network if you need help!
I got this virtual card from XFinity, I went on the myprepaidcenter.com website, activated it, it was showing $100 balance. Wherever I tried to purchase something, ig shoes "insufficient balance". Customer support is zero. From my experience and what I've read online, the company gets the balance as soon as you activate the card. After that, there is no way you can check your balance or see anything about that card. The website is built in such a way to make it difficult, when it works, because most of the times you get blocked because of an unsecured connection.
I received (2) virtual Master Gift Card but they were declined everywhere. I spent a lot of time reaching a human agent, and he replaced them with (2) new cards. Guess what? The new cards are still declined everywhere. Isn't this company a scam or what? Why isn't there a class lawsuit against them?
Absolutely awful. Fraudulent company. I have 5 cards I previously registered in my created account totally more than $500.00. Upon logging in prior to using them to verify my balances I could log in but none of my cards come up. I get an error with a phone number to call. I call. After numerous menus of automation I finally get a person. 2 times I called. Both agents informed me these are not their cards. They cannot be found. Even though their website provides a phone number right to them. They just LOST my card info?!? For 5 cards!?! This is a complete scam. I've totally been screwed and I will be reporting this to the authorities and to my local TV news networks. This is a disgusting business with no customer care whatsoever. Just a vet rich quick scheme off innocent customers. Never. Never. Never again.
Nothing but problems. First they send me an expired card and they try to charge me $10 to send a new one. Then they send a different type of card I can't use in my country in the wrong currency. Try #3 and their site doesn't even work, seems it's down half the time. They'll do anything to stop you from redeeming your own money it seeems.
Like other reviewers I see here, I received this card through the Fetch app as a cash card reward for scanning receipts, however after activating my card I found that nowhere will accept my card, and i mean literally everywhere has rejected it, and as with other reviewers it's impossible to contact customer service or receive any sort of recourse.
The customer service line is a robot nobody answers the phone. It's impossible to cancel the card and if you don't the card holder agreement says there's an inactivity fee. I've tried all day to get help but no success. The customer service is terrible and this feels like a scam.
