They don't have a customer support line that works. It's just a machine. I confirmed they downsized and the company only has 3-4 people working but they still have a customer support line, it's just not manned by people. Only a robot. Edit: someone called me directly and helped me figure everything out with my prepaid card. Updated my review from 1 star to 4 stars because of this. The lack of 5 star is because the initial phone line provided bounces you from machine to machine with no clear instructions on how to speak to a rep. I hope that in order to speak to a rep, you don't have to submit a negative review to do so. But I believe the rep has emailed me with instructions on how to access a rep in the future.
***UPDATE: They emailed me, telling me to reply with the 16 digit numbers on the cards,my full mailing address...yada yada yada...I CAN'T ACCESS THE CARD NUMBERS WITHOUT GOING THRU MORE OF THE EXACT VALIDATING AND VERIFYING MY FREAKING EXISTENCE BY LOGGING IN TO THEIR CRAPSITE, WHICH I REFUSE TO ATTEMPT BECAUSE OF ALREADY MENTIONED REASONS!!! THE ONLY RESOLUTION I WILL ACCEPT IS HAVING ALL CONNECTION TO THOSE CARDS, THEIR SITE, WHATEVER..AND A GUARANTEE IN WRITING THAT I WILL NOT BE INCURRING ANY FEES OR PENALTIES FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO CLOSE MY SO CALLED ACCOUNTS DUE TO THEM PROHIBITING ME WITHDRAWING WHATEVER SMALL AMOUNTS ARE REMAINING!!! SERIOUSLY, CONSIDER THAT AMOUNT A DONATION OR WHATEVER YOU HAVE TO CALL IT IN ORDER TO CLOSE MY CARDS AND WIPE MY EXISTENCE ENTIRELY FROM YOUR RECORDS!!! I WONT BE ATTEMPTING TO LOG IN!!! My misadventures with this clusterfudge company began the day I chose to receive a prepaid debit card as my form of payment from a couple of the social media class action settlements! I stupidly assumed it would be a real card, my bad, should have researched...but that whole sh*$%&ow was just....Anyway, I got 2 emails, in my spam folder, telling me how to redeem these VIRTUAL CARDS. The instructions were utterly ridiculous and impossible to follow in the precise order demanded, because they force you to "verify" EVERY BIT OF INFO THEY DEMAND! To accomplish this verification, you're forced to keep switching screens between this site and your email to obtain a different code at each stupid step of the process. Of course, the emails don't arrive in the time limit set by the site, and it closes. You start all over and eventually get to "access" your card, BUT then you have to activate it, register it and add it to an online wallet!!! More delays and verification and codes....and they decide to lock your card because you have made too many attempts to make the card usable! So, I call customer service, who eventually answer and can only send yet another email demanding more verification of my identity! There was a laundry list of documents they MIGHT accept, IF every single thing matched there "validated" customer records about ME!! Drivers license, utility bill, insurance card etc...Now, my last name is hyphenated, every single billing system i have ever been entered into changes my name in some seemingly inconsequential manner...Dare-Jones becomes Darejones or Dare Jones or Darjon...I have a PO Box, this is not a choice, my village forces this on us. So some of my bills and paperwork show that PO box as my mailing address, others show my street address..of course my dear prepaid center can't comprehend that I have a physical address and a mailing address! In the end, it took me over 2 weeks to finally get access to MY MONEY. THEN i learn that i can't actually use MY MONEY how I want, I have to follow their restrictions! Can't use the virtual card in combination with any other card or form of payment, can't combine the 2 cards they are holding hostage and if I want to give up,and ask for a REAL PLASTIC CARD, I HAVE TO WAIT 4-6 WEEKS AND PAY A FEE FOR EACH CARD!! I finally got one card to work on Amazon and the other on the McDonald's app. Neither would function when I tried the tap to pay function on my phone, I screenshot and printed copies of both "sides" of these cards and even with the info right there no merchant could get a sale transaction to complete, they were given an incomplete phone number to call for...you guessed it...verification! A year or so later, and Im still gettin their daily emails telling me my balance, .69 on one card and .91 on the other...THAT I CAN NEVER USE because of the restrictions that won't allow using these cards with any other...CAN'T EVEN USE THEM TOGETHER!!! I just tried to close my account, oh noooooo cant escape them that easily! More verification is required! Nope, i will just be blocking them and hoping i don't get hit with a fee for that or for something just as stupid. I don't even care about the small amounts left in limbo, I JUST WANT ANY AND ALL CONNECTIONS TO THIS JOKE SEVERED AND ALL OF MY PERSONAL INFO WIPED FROM THEIR RECORDS!!! If you have read this review, THANK YOU and PLEASE avoid any interaction with or use of services provided by "my prepaid center"!!!!
I've used this service in the past, and although it was a bit frustrating, I ended up being able to use my money where I chose. However, this time when I finally got around to using my card, it declined. I went to their website and one of their partners, but it still declined, and continued to anywhere else I tried the card as if it'd never been activated. They need to make updates to their service; it's borderline unusable at the moment.Edit:They reached out and followed up pretty quickly and I ended up getting a new card
This is the worst website I have ever seen. It blocks me from using Chrome for some reason. I try to view my card and get errors half the time. Every 3 seconds it sends me a code to my email to verify my identity. The address autofill filled in the wrong state and you can't change it. My transaction was declined and it's been stuck in pending for a week. You have to use a call center to interact with them in any way. I may just give up, it's not worth my $10 gift card to deal with this garbage.
I have a redemption code for a virtual Mastercard worth $10. I entered it through the site and the verification that pops up does not function, effectively blocking me from receiving the card information. I have tried multiple times on numerous browsers with the same issue, have tried to register an account with the same issue, and am unable to contact a representative through the customer service line.
My 250$ card is getting declined everywhere, literally everywhere, and it's gonna expire really soon. This is unacceptable, i want my money back please.... I never had such issues 6 months ago, it all started after i activated this new card, thinking that it will work like always
