I am so sorry I found this page after my purchase. Disgraceful. It took five months to receive the shoes, bypassing the date I purchased them for. When they arrived, they were entirely too big. I was charged almost $50 to return them between a restocking fee and another ridiculous charge for insurance I accidentally failed to decline. This must be how they’re profiting. $50 to try Oliver Cabell shoes and I have nothing to show for it. In contacting customer service three times, I was told by Julie she was “sorry I was unhappy with my experience.” Who is happy paying $50 for nothing? DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. WHAT A DISGUSTING SCAM.
Oliver Cabell employs intentionally misleading marketing of their shoes. They drive traffic to their instagram shop for customers to check-out via instagram. However, the instagram shop is never up to date with backorders or pre-orders. As a result, many customers get their shoes several months later than expected, or never (myself included). I know that they do this intentionally because I (myself) and other customers have shown this to them and they continue to leave inacurate listings and sell products that either dont exist or wont exist without fair warning.
Horrible service very unprofessional DO NOT BUY FROM THEM….its a whole lot of im sorry but bottom line this company is trash and customer service takes forever i suppose to be happy the shoes i ordered is finally coming a month later i will be sending them back
I placed an order for a pair of low1 and a shoe tree. The shoe tree was offered at a discounted price after the order was placed. The shoes were delivered with a shipping price, but I never received the shoe tree.Update: I have sent several messages with one unsatisfactory reply for a refund. I want the item ordered. The the other message received was wait for the team to research the issue. Great customer service…not.
STAY AWAY from this brand and find something else!! Waited 6 months for sneakers to arrive only to find that they were not sized as marked. Customer service is non-existent. Restocking fee applies even if mistake is theirs. If a company cares so little about its customers, it does not deserve to stay in business!UPDATE Nov 20 - it has now been over 4 weeks since I sent the sneakers back and I have not received my refund. My emails are unanswered. I’ve never experienced customer service as bad as this!
Ordered a of $200 sneakers, which arrived a month after promised. Tried one shoe on, it did not fit so put them back in the box and returned them. After a month, they finally responded, saying no refund because of wear. There were clearly no signs of wear on these sneakers and they refused to refund my money only to offer a store, credit or new pair of shoes. Customer service for this company is terrible, especially considering the amount of money it cost to buy a pair of their shoes. Their store in New York allows you to try on their sneakers and you don’t have to buy them if they don’t fit, but if you purchase online, you can’t try them on and get a refund if they don’t fit.
I have been ordering from OC for years! I must have had 6/7 pairs of Low 1's and countless others! Inadvertently the other day I saw all the negative feedback and I went to check the shoes I bought a few months ago that are still in their boxes waiting for summer! Did I get a shock! The 'new' Low 1's weigh nothing. I imagine mostly due to gum soles being replaced with some composite rubber version. The leather is not the same as before and feels distinctly sub standard by comparison. The lovely leather lining replaced with some cheap mesh! The shoes are frankly an abomination. They are now akin to something you might pick up in a supermarket! It also seems they have major distribution problems. What a sad end to a great sneaker company. They won't survive these changes as they are taking advantage of their loyal customers by charging the same and offering this poor product. Sadly I will be moving on and finding new brands .....
There is simply no reason to take the risk of shopping here. Ordered a pre-sale item, then later Instructed the company to cancel and refund the purchase in clear and direct language. Customer service continuously offered counteroffers to the cancellation, including jewelry (what?), in an attempt to continue to put the ball in my court until they could ship the item weeks later. Having given them direct instructions to cancel and refund the item multiple times, as well as no obligation to continue responding to their sales team’s counteroffers, I awaited my refund. 10 days later, I asked them again for the status. Customer service responded that I had not responded to their sales offers and now the item was “delivered”, so the matter was closed and no refund would be coming, nor even the discounts that the sales team offered in its counteroffers. The item was at a distribution facility in the next state, three hours away. So, here I sit, with none of the purchased merchandise, the hundreds of dollars paid, nor of course, the now hours of my time that this has taken up for a process that takes seconds with any credible shoe company. The experience would be kind of comical, were it not so much money. It would be silly to consider using them again, given how easy comparable alternatives are.
Pathetic quality! The fact that a company cannot stand behind a $300+ product with seams coming off on both shoes (left and right foot) at the exact same place should tell the team that these are defective shoes. Besides being personally disappointed they just killed any possibility of building up brand loyalty with lousy customer service. Shoes are less than a year old and the response from customer service was that the seams have ripped open due to “excessive wear” when I only wear them in kind environments almost as an alternate to my formal shoes.
