Review Time
Two of the metallic strips in place of the numbers on the face of the watch fell off and are now loose and floating around. I had an email exchange with their unsympathetic customer service. Obviously, this defect in the watch has nothing to do with me or normal wear and tear, yet customer service was unwilling to be helpful and indicate the repair would be free.Buy yourself a watch from another brand.
Avoid and buy at other retailers like Pandora. Olivia Burton jewellery isn't silver and discolours quickly yet they charge the same prices as competitors like Pandora who's products are 925 silver. Olivia Burton do not offer warranty with any of their jewellery other than watches, which also speaks volumes and when emailing to complain they respond offering you 30% off your replacement which you shouldn't even have to purchase in the first place!
The sage green leather watch strap is terrible quality. I've now had two of these completely fall apart along the seam, become unglued and unusable. This is after only wearing the watch a couple of months maximum and not every day. Customer service experience was terrible. Told me to read their care guide for leather straps (totally irrelevant because the issue was not due to dirt or discolouration). Would not provide a replacement and said the straps only last 6 months anyway.I was also not able to leave a review directly on their website because the original strap was a gift so I did not have access to the review link, and they could not provide me an alternative way to leave a review.
I was bought a pair of huggie celestial earrings from my son and partner, I wore them a handful of times and one discoloured, quite obviously a plating issue because why only 1??? I was so sad as they were £50 which my kids don’t have much money and they meant so much to me, I emailed customer services and I have been so untouched by them I feel I have to leave this negative review. The customer service was awful, they told me NO warranty, which is fair enough but a faulty item surely should warrant some attention, but she was totally uncaring and I eventually asked if I could buy a single earring to make my set up, which she came back with the huggie only and no charm which I did need as the charm was discoloured somewhat too….and I would have to pay £26.50 plus P&P! I did have a think and decided I am just going to throw them away, what a shame, some of the jewellery is quite pretty but they need to seriously overhaul their customer service, I’m not a complainer or a freebie grabber but I felt so disappointed over these earrings that it’s left me never wanting to do business with this company again! I certainly won’t be back, Will they miss me…of course not, but this review will stay here and I hope others who have a negative experience will also leave them here, quite frankly shocking behaviour and no way to run customer service! Customer swizz more like! Charge 50quid for copper crap with a coating that doesn’t last longer than 6 weeks! What a joke!Update - I would like to point out no discount was offered at all. Even now if it was I wouldn’t do business with this company. End of
My husband thoughtfully purchased me an Olivia Burton watch for Christmas in 2019. After a few weeks of wear, the grey strap started to discolour and after two months it looked a grubby brown. We contacted customer service and they helpfully sent out a replacement grey strap. Unfortunately, this also degraded in the same way as the first, although at a slower rate. After a year of use, I replaced it with a black leather strap at Timpsons for around £25 as the watch face itself was beautiful and in perfect condition. A few months later, the battery also went and I replaced that for around £20, all of which I considered an investment in what was sure to be a long lasting beautiful watch. If you’re still with me here I think you can guess that was not the case. At the beginning of this year, after 2 years of wear, I dropped the watch onto a wooden floor and ALL THE NUMBERS FELL OFF. It looked like a tiny confetti cannon had exploded in the watch face. Still, it worked, and I continued to use it as I needed a watch and this was supposed to be an investment after years of cheap watches. Well two days ago, it gave up and stopped working entirely after not even making it to its third birthday. I am furious every time I go to check the time and see my bare wrist. So unless you too feel like spending almost the cost of a watch again on repairs and still having nothing to show for it, avoid this brand.
Bought my daughter a rose gold charm bracelet that cost nearly £100 first off one of the charms was already broken , did not send a replacement then my daughter wore it and in less than 4 weeks all the charms had fallen off and were lost 😡 not worth the money very disappointed don’t buy
I utterly love the design and colour of Olivia Burton watches and always get compliments when I wear them ( I own two), but I'm hard pushed to buy from them again as their quality is so so poor and customers service is cold and unhelpful. The straps start looking tatty after 3 months and considering the cost to replace them it's poor value for money. It's clear that other owners have this issue so why not upgrade the quality of your product instead of saying " buy a new strap every 6-12 months"?Moreover, I contacted customer services trying to find the correct replacement strap as my colour only came in a larger size so it didn't fit my watch. They didn't really answer any of the questions I asked and seemed very slap dash about helping . All I want to know is where to find the correct colour strap that will fit my watch ( as the one on the website is the correct colour but to big ).I'd only buy from them if you don't mind paying around £35, every three months, for new straps and don't mind non-existent customer service. It's such a shame as the designs themselve are lovely.
