The staff were friendly and thorough, giving me ample time during my visit. This is my third time purchasing glasses from this optician, and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. The value and quality are excellent, and their transparent pricing means no unexpected costs.
This was my first visit to a local optician, and the customer service was outstanding. The staff made me feel welcomed and were very helpful in assisting me with frame selection. Both representatives were caring, clear about pricing, and contributed to a positive experience. Thank you for making my day!
I’m giving a 4-star rating instead of 5 because I’m still waiting for my glasses. I received a quote of £860 for a pair from another local optician, which was quite high. I was pleasantly surprised to find designer glasses at a much lower price here, which included high-quality lenses. I’m eager to see how they turn out and will update my review based on that.
I had a fantastic experience at Asda Pilsworth today. The service was second to none. They talked me through each aspect of the tests and gave me time to choose my preferred glasses unlike Spec Savers which is on a par with a cattle market, rushing you and treating you like a number. The staff were professional and friendly and I received a great price on the glasses I chose. I also got £25 off using the offer in Asda Rewards. I will definitely stick with Asda Pilsworth going forward. Thanks girls you’re a credit to your roles.
The team were incredibly patient and tried several adjustments to make my glasses comfortable. When they still weren’t quite right, they replaced them free of charge with no fuss at all. Brilliant customer care, friendly staff, and a real commitment to getting things right. Highly recommended!
Be aware that service here can be very inconsistent. The ladies at Asda Opticians Taunton have always gone the extra mile and been excellent with our child’s eye tests and urgent replacement of his glasses. Unfortunately, over the past couple of days, WINSTON was repeatedly unhelpful and refused to assist unless we physically visited, despite this being handled by phone in the past. This is particularly frustrating as we live a long way away. A real shame as the rest of the team are great. It may simply be bad luck, as we had never encountered him before. Unnecessary inconvenience and distress.
Pretty grim actually. Got my prescription from Specsavers but didn't like the price of their frames...so hawked my prescription to George Asda opticians. Its been sorrowful. The Burnley staff don't seem to be bothered...everything is an effort. Tried to sell me a demo display frame because that choice of frame was discontinued...and let's not even get onto the time from order....to collection. Don't dismiss your local independent optician. Better service, can price match, quicker.....and a hell of a lot more customer friendly oriented, than a couple of Old Maids in a local George opticians. Lesson to be had from this? Yes....get the best eye test you can...get the prescription if you don't like that care givers price....and shop around.
From being referred as an emergency case over the phone by my GP, I can’t praise the staff or the optometrist highly enough. From there I was referred to a surgeon for surgery.Following surgery, the optometrist prescribed medication. I am now awaiting my spectacles with egger anticipation.
My first visit to Asda Opticians in Fareham started reasonably well. The staff were helpful, and I had a discussion with Andrew, the practice manager, about sunglasses and cycling glasses. He suggested distance glasses for cycling, but I explained I needed varifocals for both cycling and everyday use. Andrew confirmed the price was the same for single vision or varifocal lenses.Although the sample frames looked shabby, with chipped lenses, I decided to proceed. The eye test seemed fine, though I found the peripheral vision test frustrating because the optometrist, Pragnil, left the room twice, letting light in during what should have been a dark test environment. After the test, Andrew measured me for frames, and I chose reactions lenses for both pairs. I paid £300 for the test and two pairs of glasses, and was told they’d be ready in two weeks. A week later, I was excited to hear they were ready early. However, when I went to collect them, the assistant discovered both pairs had been ordered with single vision lenses instead of varifocals. The glasses were useless to me, so they agreed to reorder correctly. The next day, I received a voicemail from Andrew saying the optometrist had either not tested or not recorded my near vision results, meaning I needed another eye test. At that point, I decided to cancel the order and request a refund because three different staff members had made errors before I even received my glasses. To make matters worse, I couldn’t get a refund over the phone and had to visit the store. When I finally got the refund, I mentioned I hadn’t received an apology. Andrew then appeared and said he had apologized on the phone, which I felt was poor customer service. In summary, multiple mistakes by different staff members left me with no confidence in the service. I won’t be returning.
