We have been using Asda in South Ruislip for our glasses for some years, and have always been pleased with the service and value for money. The optician and staff in this particular branch are helpful and pleasant, and nothing is too much trouble. Highly recommended.
I was late for my appointment and was told they couldn't see me, fair enough, but I tried to phone to say I was running late. The phone rang for ages , then the answer phone kicked saying we're unable to take your call, please call later. If they had picked up the phone it would have saved me a journey and I could have rebooked.
Review for Asda Opticians Blackpool I had a frustrating experience at Asda Opticians Blackpool, where an incorrect eye test resulted in glasses that were unusable, requiring new lenses after a follow-up test. The initial error was compounded by one assistant’s rude behavior and a narrative that felt dismissive—suggesting my responses during the eye test or an unlikely medical change in just 10 days caused the issue, rather than acknowledging a potential mistake in the test. I instinctively knew the glasses were wrong, yet I was made to feel at fault. Additionally, an unexplained colored film on the lenses was brushed off without clarification, which added to my dissatisfaction. With the manager absent due to health, the store lacked leadership, and for a large company like Asda, I expected better accountability.That said, one staff member was truly exceptional. Her professionalism, patience, and commitment ensured the issue was resolved, and without her, I would have lodged a formal complaint. I’m aware of Asda’s value, offering scratch protection, thinner lenses, and other add-ons typically priced . While I’m grateful to the outstanding service provided by a team member who has been there a long time…, Thankyou Jennie 🙏, I can’t fully endorse Asda Opticians due to the initial errors & poor handling and the lack of accountability. Appalling customer service in asda poole opticians today. Apparently store opening times until 1930 don't mean you can collect your glasses after 1730! One optical assistant working who was more interested in her personal phone call and being rude than actually allowing me to collect the glasses I'd paid for during opening hours.
My wife and I had Asda Opticians recommended and I have to say that Kim and the rest of the team at Wakefield have been absolutely fantastic! Everyone we've encountered has been so friendly, professional, empathetic and helpful, not to mention the great value for money.Having spent a fair amount of my career training people in customer service, I have to say that Kim and the team are second to none. Thank you.
Went to ASDA Govan branch after jumping from Specsavers who royally messed my last prescription up. Excellent service, even to the point of a referral to get my astigmatism properly looked at, which Specsavers didn't bother much with. The prescription is a lot better this time. It's nice to be able to see properly for the first time in ages!
