Not entirely the branch fault. My partner and I have used this opticians in the past, and been happy. Only previous gripes we have had...They would tell you your glasses would be ready in 10-14 days and will contact you when they arrive in branch...NEVER do they do this, we have always had to do the chasing, and ring them, to be told "We are just having a little trouble today with sending out the texts"However the last pair of glasses I ordered, I paid £100, waited the 2 weeks, drove 31 mile (1 hour drive), to find the wrong pair had been sent. (Pink frames..instead of silver)...I was told I had another 2 weeks to wait for another pair...Sorry but had enough now, seems cheap glasses equals cheap service. Will not be returning.
ASDA north Hykeham opticians: a quality eye test and I collected two pairs of glasses today for the incredible price of £160.Both.Varifocal,thin lenses and scratch proof coating. One pair sun glasses. INCREDIBLE value and great service from friendly staff. 100% recommended as it shows how the other companies are making huge profit margins for the same or inferior products. My go to optician. Thanks.
I normally wouldn't have gone to asda for an eye test as i dont shop there i knew i needed new glasses but couldn't find any frames i liked eles wear so put off having the test. a client of mine was wearing a pair i liked she said they were from asda (Ellesmere port)so I went to have a look to my surprise they had 5/6 pairs i liked had the eye test an hr later a wk later picked up my 3pairs for less than I normally pay for one pair ..Excellent service all the staff were super friendly and helpful highly recommend them.
Asda Bolden - appointment for 1130am today - was 4 mins late due to traffic - were left standing at the till for another 6/7 mins before being served - then told ‘you are 10 mins late’ and that they had given the appointment to someone else - pointed out that actually we were 4 mins late but no one approached us at the till for another 6/7 mins - lady just basically shrugged her shoulders and said again that they had given the appointment to someone else - won’t be going back!!
I had been to my local opticians, had an eye test, but found the spectacles to be very expensive the frame starting at £200 plus, and the only pair I liked, were £499.00 for frames alone, with additional costs for lenses, it was over £1,000. I took my written prescription to Asda and bought two pairs for £120. They were the thinnest lenses possible , vary focal with anti glare. I was a bit sceptical but thought I’d give them a try. Wow spectacles are amazing for the money. I am so thrilled with them and will never pay over £800 plus, for a pair including the lenses ever again. I have never been able of afford to buy two pairs at once so I can’t recommend them enough good value for money and I loved the choice of frames and the lenses are spot-on. Thank you Asda.
Optician Mohammed was very polite and explained everything in great detail. I was very impressed with the eye test and the information given. The lady assistant spent a good amount of time helping me choose 2 pairs of frames that were suitable for my prescription and the right size, making them a good fit.I was sent a text within the agreed time advising that the glasses were ready for collection and I am very pleased with both pairs.
After paying a monthly 'members fee' for five years with a local optician to be fobbed off with substandard efforts, I cut ties and thought I'd give Asda Opticians a try. I was not disappointed. Morag and the rest of the team listened to my concerns and talked me through everything. I have a complicated prescription (prisms & varifocals) so was apprehensive. I chose two very different frames that my prescription would fit into. When the first pair came in, a few comfort / fitting adustments, and I could see. There was a change from my previous prescription so I opted to have a wander around the store to get used to them. About 15mins later, I felt comfortable enough to drive home. The second pair came in about a week later. As I was used to the new prescription, I knew I could wear them straight away - after some comfort adjustments - I was very happy!Throughout the entire process, I was kept updated and informed. Both pairs had anti-glare, anti-scratch, transitional, triple-thinned lenses and cost me half of what I paid five years ago with the privately-owned optician I'd been with for over ten years in total. I would definitely recommend Morag & the team in ASDA Opticians, Kirkcaldy.
disappointing. not worth it. would stick to vision express from now on. tried something different after years of vision express. glasses had an issue. went back to store. store workers for very rude and unhelpful with solving problem. complained to customer service. got a £20 compensation voucher even though i spent £100 on the glasses. and 0 apology or acknowledgement. anyway will just tell people i know to stick to vision express. first bad review i've left on here!!
