Such a fabulous optician with friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable staff. Paul the manager and his staff went above and beyond with their service and expertise. I'd definitely recommend Asda Opticians, Sealand Rd for those of you looking for decent, affordable, and professional optician in Chester.
Took my own new frames to Asda to have varifocals fitted, when I collected them I couldn't see anything an any distance clearly. They re tested my eyes changed the prescription and remade the glasses, on collection my new frames were twisted and the manager tried to straighten and made them worse to the point they no longer fitted and charged me £165 for the pleasure. The new lenses did nothing more than give me headaches and Asda said they would only refund me £80 as I used my NHS voucher for the shortfall which can't be refunded or re issued. So in all, the prescription was incorrect twice and they damaged my own new £90 frames leaving me out of pocket by a total £255 and I'm back to square one. Will never go back.
The Asda staff were very good and helpful but I will not be using them again. I am sure the lenses are not correct to the prescription ( or the prescription is not right ) I have been back and they sent the glasses away but still not perfect. I feel the lenses are cheap so not really good . However I will in future use my local independent opticians.
I have used Asda for years & always satisfied & recommended to everyone Today went to Asda in RochdaleThe first person I saw thought I could lip read whilst she was wearing a face mask & merely pointed rightI needed a new screw to repair my glasses - which i have had done previously as i have bought several pairs lenses each timeThe assistant said she didnt think she was allowed to assist meBig mistakeI wont be using you ever again to purchase my lenses nor will i be recommending you
Went to have my glasses checked in Asda Poole Opticians as I am getting really bad headaches. I went to an independent Optician for my site test to be told that my glasses from Asda were not correct as they were causing my right eye to slightly turn inwards. Asda told me “the glasses were correct” but then Tracy said “oh hang on a minute. NO THEY ARE A MISTAKE”. Not happy as you can imagine. Then today I had to go back with my distance glasses because they had twisted and the lady that served me said “well you must had done this to them”. Really poor customer service. Won’t be using them again. Very unhelpful.
Asda recommended me to the NHS for cataract surgery. A few weeks later, surgery done, I was referred back to Asda for a final check up. Sonia, the optician, could not have been nicer and more professional. Not only are my new glasses brilliant, my sight is fantastic and my eyes are healthy.Thank you Asda and the NHS!
This is the worst opticians we have used,my wife ordered glasses and after being sent back to labs twice the prescription wasn't right so we asked for refund.Instead of a refund they charged us for the glasses again so we paid twice for glasses we did not receive. It took a member of management to process the refund. The staff at Peterlee seemed clueless of how to process a refund
Asda optician rawtenstall I found great value and my appointmentsOn time, gorgeous glasses delivered .The staff were fabulous, from the optician, to all the ladies behind the counter, helping me choose frames whilst being friendly, funny, and professional, defo recommend
Terrible ordered new glasses waited 2 weeks then when they arrived the frame was bent and the glass was popping out . Then told have to wait another 2 weeks to repair them. I think Asda are just ordering from outside companies I would use specsavers next time
