I had had my Paramo jacket for over four years and always had an issue with the sleeve lining peeping out from the outer sleeve, at the cuff and its lack of waterproofness. They sent me a free label to return it and issued me a brand new one very quickly and without any fuss. I've tested it in the recent downpours and all seems well so far. I cannot fault the after sales service. It was very efficient and quick and I'm delighted with the outcome.
The pocket zips got damaged on my Páramo jacket. I contacted Paramo and they said the jacket was still in warranty which I was happy and surprised about. I sent it back and the whole process of repair including the repair and shipping process was very efficient. The repair itself is great. Thanks all at Paramo for an effortless and quality service.
I like Páramo clothing which I have been very happy with. However the service received from their Wadhurst shop recently was poor. Paid a lot for zip repairs and re proofing of two jackets. Was told it would take two months but was rung repeatedly to be told there were "problems in the workshop" and the work was repeatedly delayed, so basically I was without the jackets for almost all the winter. However, at least they were polite and apologetic and said I would get a free clean and reproofing this coming year to acknowledge the problems I'd experienced. However, when I collected the jackets and asked for , I assumed some kind of voucher for the cleaning, I was just pointed to two free packets of cleaner and proofer which they'd just added in with the jackets. I assume they changed their mind about the free proofing service originally offered. No apology at all. Very unimpressed. Poor service which is a shame with such a good product.
I've had my Paramo Velez Evolution smock for around 3 years now and have used it from everyday rain jacket to an outer shell for Scottish winter climbing. It's versatility is second to none. The arm vents are perfect for temperature regulation, especially hiking or climbing in bad conditions - they allow just enough heat to escape and keep you warm but not sweaty. The front pouches are perfect for winter climbing - I had snacks, spare gloves, map and my phone in there for easy access whilst on belay and any rest stops. The hood is helmet compatible, meaning it's big enough to help shelter your entire face when not wearing a helmet. With regular care this jacket has lasted for many adventures is Snowdonia/Eryri and the Cairngorms.
