"customer service" = copypaste from FAQ responses

"customer service" is just a bunch of bots (or maybe human id*ots) that reply by copypasting from FAQ.They changed something in payment processing (they notified users about it themselves), and paypal transactions stopped getting through. I wrote to support, and as a response got a copypaste from FAQ. I'm sure it's nothing at my end, and even verified with my bank that the transaction never got to them. PayPal being PayPal, is of course unreachable unless it involves one of the transaction in history - and the patreon one doesn't show up there.Replying to support I explained all that once again, and guess what? Got exactly the same copypaste from FAQ as a reply...

I dont even have a patreon account yet somehow they've got my bank details and charged me a membership yet no way to contact them or freeze the payment through the bank to cancel any further payments. Scam site

No Customer Service.

I thought I might be alone on this one. Clearly I'm not. My issue is a simple one really. Two Factor authentication. Lost the auth app on my phone. Other businesses were able to resolve the issue in minutes. Provided my email, provided past transaction emails, etc. I've not gotten a response at this point. I don't care to be honest as I will never use them in the future but I did want to keep the option open. Requested help on discord from the community and pretty much this is how this "service" operates. That said, it is time to expose whats going on here.

I had an account in order to access Art lessons. After an initial few problems with access, all seemed to go well. However, after a couple of months, I suddenly stopped getting access but they still kept taking my money. I made a complaint but got no response. I then cancelled my subscription but, a year later, I have still not received a refund and they still keep trying to take my subscription through PayPal. I'm just glad that I did pay via PayPal.Avoid this company at all costs.

Just Say Your Sorry When You Make a Major Mistake

I have been a Patreon Supporter for years. I have always paid through PayPal and until this month have never had an issue.According to my PayPal records I have contributed four figures to many different creators.This month (August 2023) all my monthly payments have failed. At first, I thought it was my issue because I had added another creator in July and they tried to process the payment through Patreon Ireland. I contacted them and Patreon replied and told me it was my fault for the payments being declined. I tried to fix it as I was getting messages from the creators.Then I got made aware of the issue affecting many, many supporters. Too late as I had already replied and then I got this response:Recently, one or more of your Patreon payments may have been declined and erroneously flagged as fraudulent by your bank. We’ve traced the issue back to system upgrades required by one of our payment processing partners. You may see some payments declined while the changes take effect.12 days later and Patreon still haven’t fixed the issue with no updates for five days.

Account&money Deleted without my consent.

Deleted NOT Suspended. Ie I broke no conditions. They deleted me and congratulated me for it.I just set up my account. I have a bunch of subscribers paying between $5 and $25 and they just sent me an email saying “congrats we’ve honoured your request to delete your account and all of your data”I NEVER WOULD ASK FOR THAT.Why would I want you to delete my account? I have just started this account and I am growing my followers, and it’s so new that I haven’t ever withdrawn any money from them. Why would you delete my account without verifying with me first? You emailed me to say it’s done, why can’t you email me to verify if it was definitely me?And there’s apparently 72hours to reinstate your account but a week to get customer support? Do the maths.They’ve stolen my subscribers money, my money, wasted my time, and made me look like a joke of a businessman, a liar, and a con man. How am I supposed to explain to my subscribers what happened to their money? And that I swear I didn’t delete the account.This whole thing is a humiliating joke
