Extremely poor user experience

Extremely poor - extremely un-user-friendly, and crashes constantly, losing your place both within episodes and within feeds as a whole. Pathetic quality, especially considering the user base is largely paying for the service!

Love Patreon but it seriously needs work

I love Patreon and I ditched all top social media platforms in favor of it to grow a little community without ads/algorithms/noise pollution. However, the app is horrendous. Lens posts show up blank constantly and every time I make a Lens post I get an error message notification even when it uploaded without any issues. There’s a lot to be desired- patrons cannot comment with photos nor can creators, there’s no simple button to click to view my current paid patrons and those who have declined or left so I can reach out, there’s no way to organize photos into albums for patrons to view, the only social they consider us linking to is Facebook etc and I don’t use that platform (would be nice to be able to sync up with my Pinterest/VSCO/Vero, etc.) More customization on our creator profiles would be nice and would definitely help us stand out, and having the ability to create a feed of our public posts on our website would also be a nice way to help us drive traffic without depending on social media. There’s just a lot more thought that needs to go into assisting creators with standing out, getting noticed, and having the ability to share and easily check all of our stats, etc. The app needs a massive overhaul of updates and big fixes. We can’t expect tons of people to want to chip in to paying us monthly if what they’re getting in return is so clunky, buggy, and absolutely basic and boring.

I have been a Patreon for 4 months now

I have been a Patreon for 4 months now. I pay $5 a month to have access to my favourite musician's videos. The first two months worked fine but then I couldnt' gain access to my account and thus couldn't watch videos. I tried to reset the password and when I logged on it told me that I wasn't a patreon of a creator yet. This is really frustrating as I am essentially paying for nothing. I contacted Patreon on several accounts and have yet to receive a reply. If I don't receive a reply from them shortly I will cancel my paypal direct debit and ask for a refund for the months that I was blocked. It's a shame because honest musicians are trying to make a living during these difficult times by sharing their art and websites like Patreon take the money and fail to provide a reliable service. If Patreon contact me and sort out the problem I will change this review.

Just a quick review

I set my Patreon up as a monthly assistance for a friend who does animal rescue - while it does the job the platform and processing fees are pretty outrageous.If you're going to set up a Patreon read the policies carefully beforehand - a lot of reviews here are from negligent users.Customer support was ok for me, a quick reply on the 2 issues regarding payouts I had.I will continue to use Patreon until I have any major issues that they don't resolve.

My wife's CC was illegally charged a Monthly recurring charge! She's legally blind doesn't watch YouTube! Did not agree bro pay anyone through Patreon! We tried to contact Patreon but the phone number only gives you a Message that's says fill out the webform with all your account information? We don't have a account never did! Someone used my wife's card to set this up! Patreon has nothing in place to protect people from scams! We have to now cancel our Credit card at the beginning of the month when we have bills to pay so we don't loose any more money! Sure the bank will refund us but it takes days-weeks to get it back!

its a shat website, filled with captchas and non loading content, non existing customer service, TONS of login problems and pissall support.

Mostly Fine

It's mostly fine. However you have to change your password so often! and every time i have to login via the link on my email and i can't turn this annoying feature off. Other than that patreon is great!

i have been charge in every 21~23 each months; as i just decided to cancel my support on the 19 of AUG, however, which means the payment i have done suppose to cover the content for next 3~4 days, but this website , just locked all the content i have supported immediately as long as i concealed my support, its a very very very bad customer service and poor design; i will never ever visit any artist support release from this place again and not recommend any one to buy this!! very bad choice

They don't charge every 30 days. It's EVERY ACTUAL month

I was under the impression that I would get charged every 30 days(monthly). WRONG. Patreon seems to think that charging every actual month is the correct thing to do. If you want to support something, you're going to have to wait until the 1st of every month. Also, the layout of the site is very tricky, it's almost like they don't want you to find your payments.

Took my money and shifts responsibility to Paypal and Creator

Even though many people use this service, their website is incredibly bugged and charged me for something I didn't even pledge to. I have contacted them multiple times and only got a response once telling me to solve it through paypal.To paypal it looks like the transaction is authorized and they cannot help me, the creator that my money supposedly went to is not responsible, and patreon is unwilling to help or even reply at all.All customer support emails are automated, and if you happen to get in contact with someone they don't even read what you wrote, it's either your fault, paypal or the creator. Their customer support is a joke, this site is an absolute scam, don't think because it has many users that it's a trustworthy site in any way. And I have a feeling these "bugs" are intentional looking at the massive amounts of negative reviews here.Edit:"Our team will reach back and work with you to investigate this further. "You think I would've posted this if I didn't contact your clown support staff 5 times already?
