Review Time
I bought two cooling mats (BOGO) and it took about a week to get them. I tested it out as soon as I got it by laying on it and it was initially cool but then it became less cool but not warm. My dog seems to enjoy it for a little while then moves off of it so I’m not sure if it warms him up. Overall, it’s very expensive and similar to another cheaper product I already had.
We live in Florida and it can get hot for our puppies. I first ordered the mats for them and they stay cool and my puppies Honee Butters and Pistol Pete love them. Just recently I ordered the beds and those are going in our Motorhome to use while traveling. They were hesitant at first to try them and now they use them all the time. The material is soft and cool to the touch and I love the fact they are washable especially the beds, which have a zipper to remove the outside material and wash it in my machine. Honee B, Pete and Mom are very happy with our purchase from PELSBARN.
My dog did not like car rides at all. Since I got the fluffy dog car bed he loves it. I actually have 2 dogs and 3 car beds. I also got the small fluffy blankets for them to sleep with and they tuck their faces and go right to sleep. Just ordered 2 more for the couch. Love the products. Excellent customer service!! I was very impressed with the amount of communication I had with the Pelsbarn team members! I needed to make an exchange and the process was flawless, it's so great to receive excellent customer service these days. Because of this, I will find reasons to purchase items for my fur babies again and again from Pelsbarn!!
Update Changed stars from 2 to 4. Pelsbarn reached out to me and quickly offered a resolution. They gave me three choices, new item, replacement or full refund. I opted for replacement. Simply because my fur baby liked the bed. His fur would feel cooler after laying on the bed. He gets frustrated with the bolsters, pushing his head into them then digging at them. Pelsbarn said new bed would have more stuffing. Picture on website of Cooling bed looks nothing like the one I got today. The Bolsters are much smaller. The Mat part has no padding. The bed itself is very flimsy. $148 was an exorbitant price for what I got. Just got it today so don’t know if Cooling part works. I’m pretty mad at myself.
