Review Time
I don't doubt many of the negative reviews I've read in this arena. It is unfortunate that so many have had such a bad experience with this digital currency. I too was leery about receiving and using this type of currency for my rebate. I thought it to be an unfair practice and a choice should have been given when we filled out the paperwork for this rebate. However, it is what it is and the times ever keep changing so that businesses can squeeze out every penny they can to try and save $$$ and show a tremendous bottom line. That said, I personally had received my digital card about a week or so ago and was frantically nervous. I followed all the steps outlined and received my card. Here's a hint for those of you who are paranoid something will go wrong as I always do: SAVE EVERY PAGE TO A FOLDER IN YOUR COMPUTER! Call each page something meaningful like "Rebate Pg1", "Rebate Pg2", etc... This way if something goes wrong and you need to call them, you have all the steps at your finger tips ;)...Okay, so I got my card, now what? I went shopping. First I went to a Brick & Mortar store and at checkout asked if they take digital currency. Of course they said "No, we need to have the physical card, but perhaps check with Customer Service". I wasn't about to waste my time over something I knew was going to fail.I always shop online anyway, so I figured I'd hold it, until I shop at home. SUCCESS!! On 5/22 and 5/23, I shopped at eBay and Amazon and both took my digital card seamlessly, just like any other credit card. I just entered the credit card number and the 3 digit code and the order processed.I gave the digital card around 12 hours to think and then I went to the prepaiddigitalsolutions.com website to look at the transactions. YEP! All there. Everything was accounted for, just like a regular credit card. I went into my Quickbooks system, added the Debit Card, added my rebate and added all the expenses and reconciled. Everything is aligned and I'm a happy camper.Bottom Line: Prepaid Digital Solutions is just as good as cash in hand except you just need to be a bit more computer savvy which is a bit annoying for folks who don't like or use computers.
Really bad service, and a great hassle! The virtual card can only be used in online orders. Some merchants might even not accept the card. I had to contact both the merchant and the customer support of the prepaiddigitalsolutions.com It's not easy to split the bill, and make purchases greater than the amount in the virtual card.
This company are appalling, luckily my card is only for a small amount as a reward from a survey company, but it doesn’t work. I keep getting a generic response that I didn’t enter my cvv on the merchant site and that’s why, but I’ve said repeatedly what am I supposed to do if the merchant site doesn’t give me an option to enter my cvv and all I get back is generic replies not answering my question.
One of the worst experiences ever. I've been doing online shopping since 2000. I used various types of credit/debit card issued by banks in eastern Europe. Buying online in shops in US, UK, China, Singapore, Middle East and so on - never had any problem at all. Until I started to get Prepaid Digital Solutions virtual cards as a gift from my employer. The overall experience is simply awful. Unless you stick to Amazon or some other major retailer you are going to experience a seried of denied or blocked transactions on many websites.Support ignores questions and concerns. They just answer using generic, predefined messages from some kind of script.AVOID!
I'm surprised why they even "issued" me a card if I couldn't spend it anyways. I'm not sure whether this was intended to be a scam, but I didn't receive my money so....If this get's fixed I might write a nice review. Otherwise, I'll skip
If I could give it less than one star I would. I haven't used them yet, and from reading the other reviews as well as my own, they may be a waste of my time earning points to get them..... no barcode or QR code to redeem these visas and most shops you go into now they don't punch the numbers in for security reasons so where in the hec am I supposed to use these???
